I used to think that no one at the school was there for Hope after she lost her parents because she had closed herself off and pushed everyone away and no one decided to make the effort or keep trying until Landon came along. But now, after last episode, I see that it’s really just because they don’t care. Hope has opened up to all of them and become their friend and has saved them and made sacrifices for them time and time again, but not even all of that is enough for them to make the effort to be there for her and support her while she is grieving. And the reason she is grieving right now is because she felt she had to accept Landon’s death and move on so that she could be there for her friends again, and they do nothing for her in return.

How is it a total stranger showed more compassion towards Hope than any of the people who are supposed to be her friends? Hope just lost the love of her life, and Lizzie couldn’t even say anything? Or even just give her a hug? Josie, who Hope has been there for how many times, does absolutely nothing to be there for Hope when she’s lost yet another loved one? And everyone else just expects Hope to help give a tour to new students without a problem? And you’re telling me that her family didn’t come visit her to help her through everything right now? This is all so bizarre and unrealistic, it’s just a joke at this point.
