✨The Torn Pages - Sims 4 Legacy Challenge ✨

Welcome to The Torn Pages Legacy Challenge! This is my first legacy challenge that I've created, it is a 5-generation Sims 4 challenge where each heir adds a new chapter to a ‘family scrapbook’ filled with ambition, heartbreak, tragedy, scandal, and redemption. Each generation leaves behind memories - some beautiful, some painful, but all of them permanent. More info below the cut ~

✨ Guidelines:

- Heirs can be any gender and any sexual orientation, except Generation 4’s heir must be female (teen pregnancy storyline.) - Play on any lifespan you prefer. (I usually play on long lifespans myself) - Use any mods you’d like to enhance gameplay. - You may move on to the next generation once you have:

- Completed their Aspiration

- Reached Level 10 in required skills

- Completed the 3 Generational Goals Optional, but recommended: - Each generation should keep 1 scrapbook/heirloom item (photos, trophies, letters, etc.)

🪽 GENERATION 1: THE GRIEVING GUARDIAN

Theme: grief, responsibility, ambition, enemies-to-lovers

📖 Story:

Your sibling and their spouse die in a tragic accident, leaving you with their two children who are suddenly your responsibility. You were meant to be a rising star in the culinary world, the best chef in town, but now your life is chaos, grief, and parenting. You swear you don’t have time for love - until a rival chef attempts to open a restaurant right next door.

🌟 Aspiration - Master Chef

Required Skills (Level 10):

Cooking

Gourmet Cooking

Goals (Complete all 3):

Open a restaurant and earn a 5-star rating

Raise both children successfully (at least one must earn an A in school)

Fall in love with the rival chef (start as enemies, end as spouses)

👶 Heir Rule: Your heir must be one of the two orphaned children, not a biological child.

🩰 GENERATION 2: THE ONE GONE UNNOTICED

Theme: forgotten child, rebellion, passion, fame romance

📖 Story:

Growing up, you were loved… but always second. Your aunt/uncle tried their best, but the restaurant came first. You got used to performing with nobody in the crowd, pretending it didn’t hurt. So you became a wild child - mischievous, loud, unpredictable. But ballet was the one place you felt seen. Now you’re determined to become a world-renowned dancer, no matter what it costs.

🌟 Aspiration - World-Famous Ballerina / Dance Star (Ballerina Mod)

Become a world-class ballerina (reach top of ballerina career/mod path)

Become at least a 3 star celebrity

Marry your dance partner (must date while working together)

👶 Heir Rule: Your heir must be your first child, raised in a life surrounded by fame.

⚖️ GENERATION 3: OBJECTION: LOVE

Theme: nepo baby pressure, quiet ambition, messy romance

📖 Story:

Everyone assumes you’ll become a dancer. You’re the child of famous ballerinas, practically royalty in the arts world. But ballet was never your dream. You’re quiet, observant, and painfully self-aware. People call you a nepo baby and assume your success is handed to you. They’re wrong. Yes, you got your internship because of your parents’ name… but you stayed because you were brilliant. Your love life is another story. You try to force yourself into the “perfect” relationship… but you can’t commit to something that doesn’t feel real. You end up leaving your fiancé at the altar - or getting left yourself. Eventually, you find love in the messiest way possible: with your boss. Older, powerful, and absolutely not part of the plan.

👶 Heir Rule: Your heir must be the child born after you finally settle down.

🍼 GENERATION 4: OOPSIE BABY!

Theme: pressure, shame, survival, teen motherhood

📖 Story:

Your family legacy is intimidating: world-renowned chefs, famous ballerinas, and one of the best lawyers around. You’re expected to be perfect. Straight A’s. Reputation. Future. But something happens and your whole world changes: you get pregnant as a teenager. Your parents decide you need to learn the hard way. They don’t abandon you completely… but they make it clear: this is your responsibility now. They buy you an apartment to “help you start,” but the rest is on you. Then tragedy strikes again - your mother passes away…and suddenly you’re grieving, terrified, and raising a baby while barely still a child yourself. Your high school boyfriend is scared at first… but eventually decides to step up. Your dreams of becoming a fashion designer are put on hold.

🌟 Aspiration: Trendsetter / Fashion-based Aspiration that changes to Super Parent (player choice, mods required. it changes to super parent because of the teen pregnancy)

Parenting

Fabrication/Fashion Design (mod) OR Painting (your choice for fashion vibes)

💔 Mandatory Rule: Working Teen Mom

As soon as pregnancy is discovered, you must get a part-time job immediately

You must continue working while pregnant and still a teen

Allowed Jobs:

Barista

Fast Food Employee

Retail Employee

Goals (Complete all 3):

Have a baby as a teen (or immediately after aging up if you don’t use teen pregnancy mods)

Raise the baby through toddlerhood while living independently

Reconcile with your partner and move in together OR marry them by the time the child becomes a child

👶 Heir Rule: The heir MUST be female, and MUST be the teen mom.

🌸 GENERATION 5: THE ONE WHO BROKE THE CURSE

Theme: healing, rebuilding, breaking cycles, soft ending

📖 Story:

You were raised by a mother who had to grow up too fast. You watched her struggle, grieve, and try to make something out of nothing. You grew up feeling guilt in the shadow of what could have been. But you’re not here to repeat history. You want joy. You want beauty. You want creativity. Something different than these generational struggles. You’re taking the dream your mother never got to live and turning it into something real. This is where the legacy ends: not with scandal… but with peace.

⭐ Traits:

Self-Assured

Creative

Goofball (or Ambitious)

🌟 Aspiration: Fashion Designer / Painter Extraordinaire / Trendsetter (player choice, something creative)

Required Skills (Level 10):

Charisma

Fashion Design (Mod), Photography, Painting (player choice)

Goals (Complete all 3):

Build your own creative career (fashion designer, model, style influencer, retail store, freelance creator, etc.)

Create a “Legacy Room” with items/photos representing all generations

End the challenge with a stable happy home (partner/spouse, best friend, and close bond with family)

👑 Final Rule: The legacy ends when Gen 5 reaches adulthood and proves the cycle is broken. (and obviously achieving aspiration + goals lol) <3

No money cheats (except for setting the scene).

Focus on storytelling—embrace the drama, conflicts, and messy love lives.

Complete each generation’s career, aspirations, and unique goals to move forward. 🏆

The manor slept beneath the endless darkness of Forgotten Hollow.

Its ancient halls stood silent. Dust lingered in the air. Moonlight spilled through stained glass windows, casting pale shadows across the stone floors.

Vivienne Black awoke with a gasp.

Cold.

Confused.

Alone.

She sat upright in a grand bed she did not recognize. The room was unfamiliar. The house was unfamiliar.

And worst of all—

She remembered nothing.

No family. No home. No past.

Only darkness.

Drawn by the faint glow of candlelight, Vivienne wandered through the manor's endless corridors. Every portrait seemed to watch her. Every floorboard creaked beneath her feet.

Then she found him.

A man resting in a velvet chair beside a dying fire.

Dark-haired.

Elegant.

Unmoving.

As though he had been asleep for a century.

The stranger's eyes slowly opened.

Crimson.

Ancient.

Hungry.

Their gazes met.

Neither spoke.

Yet somehow, Vivienne felt as though she had known him forever.

And Alaric Salazar looked at her as if she were someone he had already lost once before.

Now for part 2 of The Gay as Hell Legacy Challenge. Just to rehash it: this is a ten generation Sims 4 legacy challenge built intentionally around queer lives, relationships, and community.

Here is Gen 6 - Gen: 10:

The Activist Hero believes the system can be fixed. Raised in the city, they fall in love with power, progress, and public good. 

This generation explores respectability, ambition, and the cost of trying to be a symbol while still living a personal life.

Requirements:

Give money to charity regularly

Host weekly benefits and galas always with a date

Have one relationship fizzle due to career focus

Fall in love with someone on your campaign team

Host a community event for Pride

Marry a gender-nonconforming sim

Marry as an Adult before having a child

Have a big bach party, wedding, and family vacation

Die when Generation 7: the Jaded Drifter becomes a teen

Additional:

Max the Politician Career - Charity Organizer Branch

Max charisma skill

Complete the Party Animal Aspiration

Maintain a pristine public reputation while secretly neglecting at least one personal relationship

(Optional) Mentor a teen you meet with once a week

The Jaded Drifter loses stability early and responds by running. Grief pushes them out into the world, where they find healing through friendships, creativity, and movement. 

This generation is about learning that home can be something you build, not something you inherit.

Requirements: 

Gen 6: The Activist Hero must die while Gen 7: The Jaded Drifter is a teen (may cheat via CAS)

Move out and goes to a new city while grieving as a teen

Make 5 close friends and start a club with them

Marriage is optional

Max an three skills related to critic career

Befriend sims who are also artists

Heal via friendship, may lose Gloomy trait

Have one child

Additional: 

Max the Critic career 

Complete the Leader of the Pack Aspiration

Gain club perks related to the skills that benefit your club’s vibe 

Fall in love with a close friend

Live in at least two different worlds before settling down

Spend more time on community lots instead of at home

The Superstar turns attention into currency. They are charismatic, dramatic, and constantly performing desire for an audience. 

This generation is glamorous and lonely, asking what happens when being wanted is easier than being chosen.

Requirement: 

Pursue sims who “claim to be straight“

Wanting what you can’t have, break up 10 couples

Maintain one long-term affair with a Sim who will not stay with you

Dabble in side-projects for extra income (like music)

Have at least 2 children with 2 different partners

Be the subject of at least one public scandal

Spend a week at a wellness retreat

“Reinvent” your look at each new life stage

Additional: 

Complete the Villainous Valentine aspiration 

Max the Actor Career 

Steal 10 items intentionally with the Kleptomaniac trait 

Lose touch with at least one child or co-parent temporarily

Reinvent your public persona after each major breakup or scandal

Live in a mansion with a room just for Woohoo

Develop a bad reputation

The Lover Bro grows up surrounded by love and decides to spread it freely. They value friendship, community, and romance without possession. 

This generation celebrates healthy masculinity, ethical non monogamy, and the joy of caring deeply without trying to control outcomes.

Requirements: 

Maintain at least 5 close friendships

Actively matchmake friends with new Sims

Host a house party at least once a week, inviting friends and new Sims

Live communally with all of your significant others

Have 1 - 2 children co-raised with your partners

Host a family reunion for your extended family

Max one creative skill such as cross-stitch or pottery

Additional: 

Complete the Friend of the World aspiration

Max the romance skill

Max the Romance Consultant career

Befriend another sim with the Bro trait 

Find romantic partners for your five closest friends 

Flirt with someone at every house party you throw 

Successfully manage a polyamorous relationship with two or more other sims 

The Healer inherits a family full of stories, scars, and love. Drawn to medicine and care, they learn that helping others does not excuse poor boundaries. 

This generation ends the legacy not with perfection, but with intention, choosing connection, ethics, and stability over chaos.

Requirements: 

Participates in scouts as a child

Dates a Sim who wins Prom Royalty

Open up a retirement home to house Gen 9: The Lover Bro and their partners

Dates at least two co-workers

Dates a former patient and marries them (may divorce later)

Marriage and children are optional

Uses wealth to open a museum to house the artifacts from the last 9 generations

Additional: 

Complete the Fabulously Wealthy Aspiration

Max the Doctor Career

(Optional) Remodel the hospital lot to be a gender affirming clinic (bb.enablefreebuild cheat required) 

Max Charisma and Comedy skills 

Win Prom Royalty

(Optional) Host a community event for Pride to wrap up the end of the legacy challenge

Final Notes

This challenge is meant to be played with flexibility and curiosity. You are not expected to follow every rule perfectly or hit every story beat exactly as written. If something doesn’t work mechanically, change it. If something feels right for your Sims, follow that instead.

The Gay As Hell Legacy works best when you let your Sims be a little messy. Let them make bad choices, grow slowly, contradict themselves, and surprise you. If a generation goes off the rails or takes a turn you didn’t expect, that’s usually where the best storytelling happens.

Above all, have fun with it. Care about your Sims. Get attached. Get dramatic.
