((Apparently I am in need of a small hiatus. I'm doing supervisor training at work and the hours have been more than I anticipated. Thank you kindly!))
That sounds intense, don't overwork yourself, and best of luck to you!
Silver will get a semi-hiatus until 12/05!

Don’t move, I just got comfy
Dawn glanced at the stranger sitting next to her who had suddenly spoken up. She scooted away from him very slowly until she reached the end of the bench before turning away from him.
The Best Laid Schemes || Giovanni + Silver
Though the skies overhead were somewhat clear, the sounds of faraway thunder still reverberated though the halls of Team Rocket's base. Giovanni stood at his office window, watching the distant storm clouds roll towards the city. He was feeling restless, and unsettled. Something about the oncoming weather was making him pensive, and not in a pleasant way.
To be upset about the past—the unchangeable, the irrevocable—was to waste time intentionally upsetting oneself. Needlessly worrying over what ifs and what could have beens: an exercise in self-torture. If Giovanni could forget his failures he would do so gladly, but regrets were eternal; memorable until the last. For Giovanni to find himself in a poor mood because of events that had transpired years ago was unpleasant but not, unfortunately, uncommon.
He'd run from so many things in the past and returned to all but the most important. That most unforgivable lapse in judgment... Giovanni never wished he was still Viridian's gym leader more than when he was angry at himself. A Pokémon battle was exactly what he needed during times like these; the rush of victory never failed to lift his mood, even if it was a landslide in his favor.
But he'd absconded from that position before it could be taken away from him.
That particular recollection had Giovanni clenching his fist, frustrated with himself. His miserable thoughts always loved company; he could never think about just one of his mistakes without getting caught up on thoughts of another. Giovanni breathed deeply and exhaled, trying to focus himself. He didn't plan on wallowing all morning, not when there was something he could do about the problem.
Sitting down at his desk, Giovanni turned his full attention to the matter of his son. Their last meeting hadn't been one for 'catching up' in the way Giovanni would have liked, and the task of finding Silver now was somewhat daunting. It wasn't as though they had registered one another in their Pokégear, and even if news of his official return to Team Rocket had reached Silver's ears, he couldn't count on his son to seek him out on his own. No, the responsibility of getting in touch with Silver again lay solely on Giovanni's shoulders. It was his wrong to right, as much as it troubled him to admit it.
From the little he knew about his son's life, he was aware of Silver's connection to the other Pokédex holders in Johto and Kanto. Not that any of them were viable leads. Strong trainers did not make easy targets. Professors, on the other hand, were known more for their knowledge on Pokémon rather than their skill at battling. Especially that dolt Elm, whom Giovanni was reasonably sure had some method of contacting Silver.
It would be all too easy to have a grunt steal the professor's Pokégear, but again the problem that arose was Silver's distaste for anything Team Rocket, including and especially Giovanni himself. Calling his son up without any pretense and asking to meet up was entirely out of the question. Silver would no doubt decline immediately, and Giovanni would be back to planning again.
Still, the best scheme would involve as few people as possible. He could always kidnap the good professor and 'convince' him to call Silver under the guise of planning some innocuous meeting, but it would be a messy job. Private affairs were best kept exactly that. He would start off small, he decided, and if that was unsuccessful then he would resort to more drastic measures. Petrel could mimic voices well enough; with Professor Elm's Pokégear he could contact Silver and make up a story that would get his son to show up in a location where Giovanni could then meet him. Not a perfect plan by any stretch of the imagination, but it would have to do.
As the clouds above finally broke and rain began to splatter against the window, Giovanni called in his executive and assigned Petrel the mission, working out more specific details in the process. If Silver took the bait, Giovanni would be meeting him the next day in Ilex Forest, Goldenrod side.
Any satisfaction he might have gotten from setting his plan into motion disappeared the moment the reality of the situation sunk in. He could be meeting Silver, tomorrow. All the preparation in the world wouldn't ready him for that encounter. With a heavy sigh Giovanni swiveled in his chair to watch the falling rain, feeling just as anxious as he had in the first place.

And who could have been thoughtful enough to do this? She leaned over picking up the flower a small smile to her lips despite not wanting to acknowledge that it was her birthday. "Well this is pretty."
What was your first time like? (I mean catching a pokemon, get your mind out of the gutter)
"How catching my first Pokemon went? It was pretty awesome! Blitzle put up a great fight, too!"
