3 “Pro Tips” for new Ghost Hunters or Legend Trippers this Spook Season
1. DO NOT FUCKING TRESPASS. EVER.
If you need to move a fence or break a lock, crouch through a hole in a plywood - what you are doing is illegal. It’s not just about respect for the site; it’s your own personal safety at stake here. God forbid something happens - a venomous snake or spider bite, or a step on the stairs collapses - who knows to come help you? How could they get to you?
2. “GET OUT” IS NOT A THREAT
Think about it. The Amityville Horror came out in 1979 and even in that movie it was such a cliche it was used as a joke. Hundreds of thousands of people have died having seen just that one movie, let alone all of the other hundreds of ghost and demon movies that use it as a throw away line. Millions of sarcastic shits have passed away and are more than ready to scream GET OUT the first chance they get as a ghost.
3. DAMAGE / TAKE NOTHING
If you think ghosts are scary you have no idea how pissed off folklorists can get if we find out you’ve stolen or damaged something. Don’t kick over a headstone, dont steal a headstone, dont chip a bit of drywall as a keep sake. Do Not carve your name in a wall. Do not write your name with a sharpie. We WILL hunt you down like the dog you are.
