Questa sera chiudo il cerchio dei concerti con numerosi artisti di differente cultura musicale. Mesi passati a suonare, imparare all’ultimo minuto brani da suonare, musicisti nuovi, chi più e meno rinomato, piccoli clubs, grandi palchi, di fronte a 4 gatti e centinaia di persone…quello che a me importa è suonare perchè possa la vita essere migliore. Siamo all’ultimo giorno di Luglio 2022, un giorno come tanti, di un mese come tanti altri di un anno come miriadi di altri anni. MA questo AGOSTO 2022 sarà IL mese del miglioramento, NON DEL CAMBIAMENTO! Si: IL MIGLIORAMENTO in vista di nuovi sviluppi nella mia vita che segneranno la fine di un capitolo durato troppo e l’inizio di un altro troppo atteso e meritato. Happy Birthday ♊️ to Nicky “Topper” Headon of The Clash @the_clash 🖤 who is one of my favorite drummers and was dubbed as “The Human Drum Machine” by producer Sandy Pearlman, a title he deservingly received for his impeccable sense of time and stamina with his solid steady beats. He had a background in Jazz, influenced by Billy Cobham and Gene Krupa. During the stint of one of his bands before The Clash, he opened up for The Temptations which he anecdotally admits having falsely claimed that he actually played with them. His versatility gave him an edge to complement The Clash’s musical range of styles. Joe Strummer regarded his drumming skills as a vital part of the band. Let’s not forget that he composed most of the music for “Rock the Casbah” and played piano, bass and drums on it… 🥁🧷⚡️⛓🥁
