The Temple of Asclepius

She had felt, the change in the air. Too many weird phenomena had occurred - Cassandra had lost count of how many injured people had dropped by the temple in the last weeks, not counting all the news about too much rain and too much flooding. Poseidon is angry, the locals had told her when she went around asking about the latest happenings.

“Poseidon is angry”, she thought, “it does really look like it.” She had wondered what made such a deity so angry to take everything on innocent people.

And now, just like everything had arrived, every single one of these unusual occurrences had stopped, leaving a sensation close to the quiet before the storm.

Something had happened and something was about to happen. She felt slightly frustrated, hating being somewhere in the middle of something and not knowing what was about to start.

Cassandra finally closed the last folder in the archive with a sigh, then passed her hand in her hair and headed outside towards the court, intending to at least enjoy the last rays of sun before sunset.

She had just sat down on one of the benches by the entrance of the Healers dorms, when she heard a faint Cosmo, followed by some steps. She knitted her brows, standing up immediately. That was no hour for anyone to come to be checked. “Hello?” She asked, after clearing her voice. “Is there anyone coming?” She raised up her guard, just in case anything would happen.
