What’s the first thing you ever remember writing?
The first thing I wrote was the original starting of Legends Zero (titled something different, but I don't remember what). I was twelve, in middle school, and my friends and I loved to roleplay. It only seemed natural that characters I had loved as a child -- Pokémon, Digimon -- had come to influence the story, and with my friends' help (including one that still offers inspiration now. love you swimmer), the story came to be.
What’s one piece of advice you wish you could give yourself for writing it?
Don't let your expectation become what you rely on. I'm a pantser by nature, so when I make a plot, I'm rough on making sure I stick to that plot diligently. To a fault. I have learned now -- thanks to Answers Buried in Time -- that letting the story go where it wants to works for me. And it has helped to make my stories something that I'm very proud of (or at least most of them). I think twelve year old Maybe would be proud of where we are today with our works.
