10.2.16 . And here we are. Sensouji temple, one of the popular temples in tokyo. There is a legend attached to this temple. In 628, two brothers fished a statue out of the Sumida river. (a river that currently runs through seven wards of Tokyo) The statue was of Kannon-sama, the goddess of mercy. It is said that even though the brothers put the statue back into the river, it always came right back to them. So Sensouji temple was built for the goddess. . What you see in the photo is the main hall.
