I call dis one, Sparky tries too hard and stays up to finish writing many, many Different Path headcanons;
Initially, Satoshi ( and later Shigeru ) are barely able to understand Skye through his thick accent and his tendency to mumble, so communication between them was very hard for little sad Skye.
Satoshi and Skye have several inside jokes that Shigeru will never completely understand. Even if one of them try their best to explain the joke, Shigeru most likely never finds the joke funny.
The trio all share a Pokémon with another person of the group; Satoshi and Shigeru have Kamex, Shigeru and Skye have Blacky, and Skye and Satoshi have Pikachu.
Shigeru takes the time to apologize to Pika for grabbing her by her tail all those years ago without any prompting from Skye. This small act brings Shigeru a little closer to being in Skye’s good books.
Moon looked up to Shigeru’s Blacky whilst still an Eevee ( then as a young Blacky ), and that maybe, is a reason to why Moon evolved into a Blacky himself. Him and Shige’s Blacky are now good friends.
Shigeru’s Kamex is possibly from Tohjo Ranch, as Skye claims that right before Shigeru and Satoshi’s journeys began, his family had bred and handed over a Zenigame to Professor Okido for the new to-be trainers. However, it is impossible to find out the what the answer is.
If they feel like their Pokémon require some rest from Gym Battles, Shigeru and Satoshi give their Pokémon to Skye so that they can stay at the ranch.
When they officially become Gym Leaders, Satoshi asked Skye to be their first opponent. Skye reacts by laughing, but when he realizes that he was serious, Skye refuses, telling them “yae’d freakin’ murder ‘is.”. Shigeru mentions that he and Satoshi would always be open and ready for any future battles from him. Does Skye ever take them up on their challenge? Who knows.
In time, Skye starts to affectionately refer to Satoshi and Shigeru as “his boys”, pointedly making it known that he is the eldest of the trio, despite probably (?) being the shortest.
People are surprised when they find out that Shigeru isn’t the oldest out of the three because he is the most serious and mature out of them.
Skye likes to playfully tease and make jokes about Shigeru and Satoshi’s relationship, usually telling them to get a room or calling them “GAYYYY”. He usually gets the retort that he is just as gay as they are, if not more. Skye shrugs them off.
In the Sinnoh arc, for the Lake Trio, Satoshi keeps his connection with Azelf ( willpower ), while Shigeru is connected to Uxie ( knowledge ) as he is technically the most knowledgeable out of the three, and Skye is connected to Mespirit ( emotion ) because he is nearly always an emotional mess.
In both incidents that Satoshi was possessed, he has brought physical harm onto Skye. When he was possessed by the King of Pokélantis, he struck Skye in the face when he stood up against him and when he was possessed by Hoopa’s Shadow, he was jumped by Skye for the Prison Bottle, which Satoshi then tried to make Skye “disappear” by choking him with the Bottle.
However, Skye has also hurt Satoshi whilst under possession. After he absorbed the Blue Orb, he managed to bite Satoshi hard enough to draw blood and flail strong enough to leave bruises / scratches.

i got the bad idea that involves comfortship but they got into a bad argument and satoshi left for his own world because skye said something really really bad that made him feel like he shouldn’t come back so he didn’t so they sad
I kinda got this headcanon that there were this one time when Satoshi came to visit, he ends up seeing Skye being chased and tackled by someone, and he’s about ready to make himself known and destroy whoever is “attacking” Skye, he realizes that Skye and his “attacker” are laughing and clearly playfully fighting each other and ding, that’s about the moment Satoshi notices that the “attacker” is himself aka Ash.
Of course, all the anger leaves him and Satoshi gets all excited because he finally saw and will get to meet Ash, but he stops himself again when he sees the two being super gay together and he remembers that Ash rarely comes to the ranch so he believed that he would just be intruding on their time together, so he leaves without making himself known with a little smile on his face.
