2013 VW Beetle Convertible 💛🏖 A custom LEGO brick build, display model kit inspired by the modern Volkswagen Beetle. I took this commission some time ago I knew from the beginning that it will be a very difficult one. The Beetle is all about curves and very characteristic shapes while the bricks are..well quite "bricky" 😅 It was an amazing opportunity to come up with new building techniques and to challenge myself once again. As always I had to make detail compromises in the design in favor of some important shapes and elements of the car but im very happy with the end result. The design process itself took me almost a month the just to design and around 9 to 10 different concepts and design stages. . The display model is at approximately 1:24 scale with a detailed interior and exterior with many interesting and challenging building techniques 🔧🔩 .
