Anyways I've realized something of a theme in Legundo's latest characters which I really like. They're all grappling with some sort of power that seems totally consuming and irresistible. But they each have different responses to that threat!
The Doc, faced with the reality of vampirism, desperately searches for a cure. He refuses to let it remain an intangible, all-powerful curse. There must be a cure, and he's going to find it.
100dmv Legs is trapped in a cycle of torment and suffering, treading through worlds at the whims of Decem. He too fights for what freedom and reprive he can get, but he's ultimately somewhat resigned to his situation. He's so hyperfocused on surviving each loop, stopping them doesn't even seem real. He lets himself dream, during the Haunted Winter, but it ends all the same. On to the next world he goes.
Sbk Legs, Eight, is the one i understand the least, but to my knowledge he is well aware of exactly what he is and what his reality is. The force he faces is not vampires or decem but the story itself, perpetuated by the version of him beyond the eighth wall. He doesn't want to be a puppet, but what can he do? So he makes his displeasure known to the audience, the people he can reach, and maybe that'll do something. Maybe they can make something change.
Legundo's storytelling has always been deeply compelling, but as of late he's really upped the ante. I'm very excited to see how he takes things further :3
