Snowy Day - Dery Silk Mill by Blick Calle Via Flickr: Race Street Catasauqua, Pennsylvania
My beloved Mini Aussie puppy, Leo, went missing from our front yard yesterday and as of now it’s been a full 24 hours.
Leo is not the type to run away, she knows where home is and who her people are and would always choose being near us over anything. We live in a fairly private part of LeHigh Acres Florida so if anyone from around there sees this, I beg of you. Please be on the look out for my little girl.

Lehigh Millennium Folk Arch and Art Enclave
Down a gravel path past Look Out Drive in Bethlehem, PA, sits a hidden world of wonders. Officially known as Stolfo Sculpture Garden, the Millennium Folk Arch and Art Enclave is the result of a 1999 Lehigh University religious studies class in outsider art. Taught by Professor Norman Giradot, with assistance from artist Mr. Imagination and the Banana Factory, this class of students created this park of wild sculptures out of concrete and found objects, taking inspiration from mysticism and their own personal expression. This eight session class wasn’t technically an art class, and the students weren’t artists by their own definition, but what they created is possibly the most creativity-driven sculpture garden in Pennsylvania.
The Millennium Folk Arch has pieces of Professor Girodot’s front porch, the Throne of Regeneration’s faces jut out from the armrests, and the Olmec Head’s eyes glisten in the sunlight. Today, many of the pieces are decaying and have been overgrown with branches and wild grass, but this only adds to the whimsy and wonder of this not-so-secret garden. I strongly urge you to visit.

My Favorite Wood Duck Carol Ecker
Species: Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) | Location: Lehigh County, Pennsylvania
“I watched this wood duck for hours. I noticed him chasing all the other male ducks away from his girl. He would speed swim and chase them away. Then he wood dive under water several times to fix his feathers—he has to look good for his gal. Then he would pull his whole body out of the water and puff out his chest. He is so pretty and he knows it!”
