LEJDIS (2008)
To me this polish movie is trash. It basically tells a story about four straight friends who have all sorts of problems and they cannot really deal with them. But there is a small subplot which involves one of the friends and her secretary. One of the friends - Korba works at a newspaper office and a young woman who works there as a secretary has a crush on her. She sends her flowers and a card for Valentine’s day. Korba finally gets irritated by the secretary's behaviour and she calls her a dyke and tells her that she should start “taking hormones” to cure her lesbianism. Then it seems like the subplot has ended and it seems like there will be no more the character of secretary but she appears unexpectedly in one more scene. Korba goes to an apartment of her exboyfriend because she wants to apologize him but she discovers that he has an affair with the secretary who was previously presented in the movie as a lesbian. So, to me it’s trash and a very bad representation. Especially because 1) the secretary first behaves like a child and sends Korba all sorts of gifts and romantic cards without signing it 2) Korba tells her to “take hormones” 3) the secretary has an unexpected affair with a man.
