A little late for Easter, but here's an idea (for the Chosen) that lives rent-free in my head

So ya'll know how the first post-resurrection appearance is to Mary Magdalene right

Peter and John have checked the tomb and started back for town but Mary M is still there crying her eyes out

So picture this:

Mary M is there, she's crying, her eyes are puffy and red because let's face it, she's probably been crying for days at this point and Jesus walks up to her, right, and asks her why she's crying yada yada that whole exchange

but the whole time we, the audience, don't see his face, we just see his back as he's talking to her

(and she's not looking at his face either)

and then he calls her name.

ya know.

just like episode one of season one.

and you just see the instant recognition flood her face and her hands fly to her mouth and she finally looks up

and the camera angle changes to just Jesus and it slowly pans up to his smiling face

and then
