"Normal?" Jingyi demanded, putting on a great show of acting offended if he did say so himself. "You signed up for zero normal when you signed that friend contract, Jin Ling!"

Jingyi shook his head, turning to look out the window and putting on an expression that showed his disbelief and sadness at Jin Ling. He reached a hand out to touch the glass. "It's been only 38 days, and Jin Ling tried to ask for normal," he said to himself, making sure his voice would be heard by Jin Ling. Jingyi heaved a sigh. "Next, he'll be asking us to become a cookie cutter family. Where did everything go wrong?"

"Why are you offering me money for that?" Jingyi asked, staring at Jin Ling. He was completely dumbfounded how they ended up at this point. They had been chatting all chill and then Jin Ling said that and Jingyi was pretty sure Jin Ling lost it. "Are you trying to make me into your sugar baby or something?"

Besides, Jingyi hoped he didn't have to admit that he didn't have to get any money to love Jin Ling. Like money would just be a side benefit. But like, Jingyi's feelings were between him, his pillow, and possibly Sizhui (depending on if Sizhui heard Jingyi's freakouts or not).

Jingyi laughed, feeling like he was caught. Maybe he was, but he had some very thin plausible deniability that was hanging on by a thread. "Who would be obsessed with you?" he asked, waggingly a finger and acting all aghast. "I certainly most definitely would not be!" And then because his brain to mouth filter always failed him when he needed it to work. "And anyway, even if I was, there is no proof! So I can't be."
