Before Star became Star, they were a powerful and terrifying creature from the backrooms. There were many legends spoken about them, which makes Static suspicious of them for a while, but he starts to act nicer to Star because Neil asked him to. They eventually become friends. This will be important later.
Also, Star's a huge fan of Neil's music and has a lot of respect for him, hence why they're nervous)
