More about Siffrin's feelings about his culture and it getting brushed off by others?? 👀👀
To be honest my longing for writing a fic like this 100% comes from my love for a fic I read a while ago that dealt with this topic!

I remember being like,,,sooo relieved at finding another fic that perfectly showed how unfair Siffrin's situation was. It's not too often I see fic writers explore Siffrin's annihilation of his culture in a more introspective way, nor do many show Siffrin's more negative emotions/reactions to it as well.
For my fic I wanted to explore the party's dynamic with Siffrin and one another, and how their tendencies to sort of brush off/deflect their knowledge of his culture and how it inevitably reflects the way Siffrin would start to get snippy/upset until they eventually explode. I like seeing moments where Siffrin actually stands up for himself and puts boundaries with how his friends treat him sometimes, especially when it comes to their culture.
Which isn't to say that this is character bashing of any way for the party! More like,,,a deeper understanding to their characters and their tendency to not really relate to other cultures they aren't aware of.
There are so many moments in the game where we see the party brush off/laugh at Siffrin's introspection of his culture. Even going as far as to straight up accusing him of lying/trying to make a joke. It's always saddened me to see not many writers bring up how disheartening it is for him. Which is why I've planned ahead for a fic that talks about these issues.
Just in general I'd like to discuss Siffrin's tendency to be a people pleaser and start to deconstruct it for his healing journey. Learning that it's ok to express his negative emotions without the fear that his friends will react badly to it.
My only problem is wondering if I should make it a reallyyy long one shot or multi chaptered. Thought I'm leaning towards more multi chapters with each one being based off of each character and how it changes their relationship with Siffrin.
