Lemon-Cream Cheese Crescent Danish

•Ingredients•

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dough

1/3 cup cream cheese spread (8-oz container)

1 tablespoons sugar

Half of lemon juice and zest

• Glaze (optional)•

½ cup powdered sugar

2 to 3 teaspoons milk

•Steps•

Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F. Remove dough from can; cut dough into long slices. I used parchment paper so it wouldn’t stick. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

Step 2: In small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest and half limon juice.  Spoon about 2 teaspoons cream cheese mixture on center of each dough round. Brush melted butter on the dough.

Step 3: Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes.

(Optional) Step 4: In small bowl, mix ½ cup powdered sugar with milk. Drizzle glaze over Danish.
