The lemon and lime flavors in these Lemon Lime Chicken Skewers go so well with the tender chicken. Great for an easy and quick grilled meal!
Ingredients: 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into cubes. 2 lemons, juiced and zested. 2 limes, juiced and zested. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks. 1 red onion, cut into chunks. Wooden skewers, soaked in water.
Instructions: Put lemon juice, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Add the lemon zest and lime zest as well. To make the marinade, mix it well. Put the chicken cubes in a shallow dish or a plastic bag that can be closed again. Make sure the chicken is evenly covered with the marinade as you pour it over it. Cover or seal the bag and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to marinate. Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Put the chicken that has been marinated, bell peppers, and red onion on the soaked wooden skewers one after the other. Put the skewers on a grill that has already been heated up. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning them over a few times, until the chicken is cooked all the way through and the outside has a nice char. If you want, you can serve the Lemon Lime Chicken Skewers hot with extra lemon and lime wedges on top.
