Day Seven: 01.07.16
Lemonsweets and I flew to Georgia today to see my in laws. It’s so much more comfortable being in their house and not having so many people in our space. Their house is wayyyy nicer and bigger, but it’s not just that. I can’t really explain it. I get less annoyed when they spoil her more here. It’s weird. Baby Peppermint Butler is moving like crazy. You can barely see it on the outside and feel it when you put your hand on my stomach. I can’t wait for Lemonsweets to be able to feel him. It’s going to blow her little mind. She was so excited about the sonogram, like it was proof he actually existed. I have no idea how she understands all of this when she just turned two this past weekend. Sometimes I think she really is a genius.
Ok so, I got crazy sick this weekend and there was no way my ass had the motivation to keep up the Project 365 thing only a day or so in, BUT I’m going to do it, just gonna restart or start at 2 today. Dan is seriously a rock star. He took care of me and a splinted, broken Lemonsweets all weekend with *minimal complaining ;) Today I’m feeling much better though, and getting around to my mommy chores, since this house kinda went to shit over the weekend lol. Tomorrow Lemonsweets is going to her first day of daycare ^.^ We want to ease her into it before Baby Peppermint Butler gets here so I can have alone time with him without her feeling pushed out. It’ll also be AMAZING when I’m super fucking pregnant for her to be able to go and play with other little ones and give me a break. I’m about 19 weeks with Baby Peppermint Butler and I’m about 90% sure we have a name picked out for him (which I won’t be sharing with Tumblr, sorry y’all). This pregnancy is going so fast, which is super awesome. My pregnancy with Lemonsweets seemed to take a lifetime, but having her around to chase after definitely makes me forget about being pregnant altogether sometimes.
I want my daughter to have a baby when she's an adult, not because of gender roles or family legacy, but only because I know it's the only way she'll ever realize how much I love her.
Our first day in Texas was amazing.
We got a kiddie pool and Lemonsweets had a hay day in the back yard while we grilled some delicious salmon, frog legs, asparagus, and corn.
Hickory coals are the shit, 10/10 do recommend. Tomorrow wer’re going house shopping! It’s going to be a stressful process but I seriously can’t wait to start. I’m so excited about owning a house, being able to do whatever I want, living in a new state, having a new baby, and all of it!
We just spent the whole weekend in the city and now I’m dead. It was a great “going away party” weekend though, and it all happened super suddenly. Lemonsweets got to spend some much needed time with her Uncle Chris and Auntie Spaz and she totally cuted up the whole joint. She loves watching all the drag queens put on make up and practicing their numbers for that night! I’m gonna miss that whole house dearly <3
