RESIDENTS OF KILDEAU

Since Chase is rolling our their Kildeans and I haven't had the chance to draw most of mine yet, I wanna put them somewhere on the blog >:]

I've already introduced Rhetoric and Mediator, so I'll just focus on the citizens for now.

First up: YULIAH WILDES and MILTON "MILO" BEASLY (Both designed by @mik-mania!)

Two clowns (facepaint designs pending) who live in the city and attend the church. Yuliah is your typical rowdy subjug, while Milo is a more quiet and laid-back laughsassin. The pair of them are roommates, and they spend most of their time hanging out together.

Yuliah is usually the one calling the shots, as Milo prefers to stand back and follow rather than lead. Where Yuliah dreams of becoming a Grand Highblood when she's older, Milo isn't really sure what he wants. For now, though, they're on mostly the same page, wanting to be an asset to their church and support the big guys in charge.

Next: DARCIE RUDRED and WYDISS "WYATT" PIXBEE (Designed by @indig0trolls!)

Darcie is the owner of Cee's, a popular cafe in Kildeau situated near one of the busier streets leading to the church. Clowns and civilians alike can often be found popping in, and Darcie has found herself an object of romantic interest for a surprising number of them. She'd rather just serve their coffee.

Wyatt is an Apiarist who cultivates and distributes a street drug commonly known as "Buzz." Made from a diluted form of mind honey, psionic users who partake often find their output increased by the stimulant. Wyatt prefers not to indulge in his own product.

Now: LENNOX ZALRIC and AIDULA DELPHI (once again, Newt's designs!)

Two members of Kildeau's little rebel problem, both these trolls are very good at staying under the radar.

Lennox makes for a perfect messenger, their lax demeanor and excellent intuition helping them avoid detection even by the most convincing of class traitors. They never leak info to anyone they shouldn't, and even in the rare cases they arouse some suspicion, it is always easily dispelled.

Aidula, on the other hand, is most beneficial to the cause by way of her foresight. When looking at someone without obstruction, she can peer into their future and see how their paths and others intersect. When her glasses come off, she has an impeccable track record for keeping her comrades away from traps and traitors.

I wanna talk about Lennox a little cause there's one thing I really like about them and the way they keep heat off of themself

I was saying in my server earlier that they make a great parallel to Aidula in that they're both very good at discerning friend from foe and knowing the correct way to navigate a situation, but where Aidula uses literal foresight to do this, Lennox is powerless. Their success as a rebel comes from sheer intuition.

But! That's not the part I wanna ramble about. It's their attitude. Because like... They're not hiding the "yikes" reaction they have to the church and some of its goings-on. They're not pretending to be in support of it. You might think as a rebel they'd want to keep their head down and feign licking boot!! Keep people from looking too close!

But.

What normal lowblood actually likes the church? An oliveblood who isn't put off by them... that's weird. That draws eyes.

And if they were to really fawn over the church... lowbloods in Kildeau can find work there. Why wouldn't they? Unless they think they'll get sniffed out for something?

They're holding back their strongest opinions, but they're still playing the part people expect to see. A lowblood who doesn't like the church but accepts their role beneath it. Not overcompensating. Not raising eyebrows. Normal guy.
