Working the float with @lennoxnovack​

“Sorry to interrupt but babe, I need your artistic opinion.” She pulled at her girlfriends sleeve, physically pulling her away from the conversation that she was having. Patience was something Whitney did not have, especially when she was working. Once they were at her workstation she let out a frustrated huff while crossing her arms over her chest. “I know that you are going to want to do a painting of the cherry blossoms but I don’t know how I should make the frame for you. Do you want square or circle?” She asked, staring at the other with wide eyes. It was nice that the two were able to work together on a project. Working on the float meant that they would be able to spend time together. Even though they already practically spent every available minute together since they officially started dating.

~ Valentine’s Day with @lennoxnovack​ ~

When Whitney came home from work she spotted something outside her door. The gift left the blonde in absolute shock. She never expected to be getting anything for Valentine’s Day and she certainly wasn’t expecting something so sweet from Lennox. After putting the flowers in a vase, snacking on a cookie, and putting the necklace on Whitney made the decision to find her girl. No phone call or text would be enough to share her gratitude. She stopped back at her work to pick up one of her projects before finding her way to the others home. A knock on the door and a few seconds later, Lennox was standing in front of her. “What the hell? Why are you so sweet?” She questioned through her happiest giggle, still in disbelief that she left a gift at her door.

~ Wishful Thinking with @lennoxnovack​ ~

After the Christmas celebrations Whitney found herself keeping a rather low profile. She didn’t want to say that she was purposefully avoiding someone but in a way she was. After their first night together and their small Christmas date she came across some interesting information. It had turned out that Lennox had been sleeping with her good friend. Any wishful thinking that she had about the blonde quickly went down the drain. Whitney tended to value her friends happiness before her own and how she was already feeling about Lennox, she didn’t want to hurt Jack. It was why she had been burying herself in her work and staying away from town. However, while exiting Cantina Mariposa with too many tacos in hand, she locked eyes with a familiar face. “Oh shit ...” She mumbled under her breath knowing that it was too late to run away, she had already been spotted. Whitney quickly put on a fake smile as the two got closer together. “If it isn’t my girlfriend, long time no see.”

~ Night at the Barnyard with @lennoxnovack​ ~

A Friday night wasn’t complete unless Whitney found herself out on the town. Even though she considered herself to be more of an introvert the blonde loved a good party. The way the loud music vibrated throughout her body, the alcohol constantly flowing, and the interesting people that she could take home for the night. The con of that was that some people didn’t understand what no meant. It was why she slipped away to be outside for a moment in order to hide from someone who wasn’t taking the hint. After taking a deep breath of the fresh fall air Whitney noticed that she wasn’t alone. “Are you hiding out here too?” She asked in a playful tone and a glimpse of curiosity in her eyes.

Lennox & Felix | Graceless Heart

Felix sat in the viewing room watching the replay of the opening ceremony, kneading the tips of his fingers against his temples. The room was big, made to comfortably seat a relatively big audience in front of a huge, high-definition screen that cast everything in a vaguely blue light.

It gave him a headache, sitting there staring at this television screen, but he had a lot of catching up to do and he wanted to get a feel for his tributes before he met them.

He paused the tape as the camera closed in on the District 2 chariot. Felix wanted to laugh at the ridiculous costumes the boy and girl had been put into, but what he'd been forced to wear during his Games was just as, if not more, ridiculous. He leaned forwards in his seat, elbows resting on his thighs and fingers clasping together. He studied the faces of his tributes, looking between both their faces as he tried to weigh their chances based on appearance alone.

The boy looked strong, but Felix could never ignore the power of beauty and the girl had that in abundance. The Capitol would appreciate her, but when it came to the Arena his money was on the boy.

Felix turned off the television, leaving the tape still in so he could come back to it. He got up and left the viewing room, needing to stretch his legs. He walked down the corridor, looking out the windows as he went, hands pushed into his pockets and curled into fists.
