My thoughts on the most recent domestika course I've enrolled in; Basic Principles of Drawing People from Imagination; a course by Tom Fox
I feel like this course would be really good for artists interested in drawing people and also creating comics.
you owe nothing to your younger self.
you are not responsible for being the person you once thought you'd be.
But you do owe something to the adult you are today.

New Year New Books
My goal this year is to read more books that I wouldn't typically read, so basically nonfiction, and I started reading Brianna Wiest's 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think. This book is like attending therapy and coming back onto my Tumblr after reading a few chapters feels like taking a few steps backward. I still logged in though, so, baby steps I guess.
Ottessa Moshfegh is my hero. Not because of her novels. Simply because she knows who she is and doesnt give a fck if you like her.
Im slowly recovering my health and during this time I’ve been reading Bleach. I binged the anime when I was in high school and remembered it as one of those anime’s where I didn’t skip the opening theme song. Like each opening is a bop. Even as I’m reading the manga I can hear the songs playing in my head. It’s weird but nice. It’s a little sprinkle of nostalgia that’s been keeping me up as I fight through the drowsy cold medicine. Also, I fucking love the rough sketches at the end of each chapter. I like when writers/artist show us the rough sketch, it’s like a peek into the process. I appreciate that. And Bleach ties in that rough sketch as a sort of . . . For the chapter.
