[ txt ;; leo ] You guys have been together almost as long as me and Yamato, I'm sure he'd love to introduce you! Let me know what he says when you ask him, I'm so excited for us all to be together for the holidays!

[ txt :: ibuki-san ] It's your idea so surely you should ask him. If I do then it'll be like I'm pressuring him and I don't wanna do that, we're enjoying our little bliss~

[ txt ;; leo ] yo! Okay I hope this is the right number because I snooped it off Issei’s phone last time we hung out. I hope you remember me! I’m Ibuki, your lovely boyfriend’s adoring big brother. Reason why I’m texting you is because! I recently met my fiancé’s parents and it did not go great. I want yamato to experience a loving family and the holiday season is the perfect time for that. Why am I messaging you? Because whether you like it or not you’re family now~ I want you and Issei to come with me and yamato to visit our parents for the holidays! Issei doesn’t know about it yet so I’m hoping if you agree then he’ll have to say yes too! What do you say? - ibuki

[ txt :: ibuki-san ] It's been a while!! That sucks about Yamato-san's family :( Guess not everyone has it easy, huh? I'd be happy to go but it's whether Issei wants me meeting your guys' parents yet so I'll let him make the final decision but if it was just me then I'd love to go!

“That’s amazing, Haru. If that’s what you want then I’m really happy for you two. Hopefully I’ll have time to buy a housewarming gift for you both before you move in.” After everything the two went through and working together to strengthen their relationship it was great to hear this news. “Have you told Ibuki yet?”

"Not yet. We only really just decided on it, I don't even know if his landlord will be okay with a second person moving in. Once we know, though, I'll definitely be telling everyone."

"We definitely have to celebrate if it is accepted! No doubt Ibuki will be happy for you and wanna have a little party, anyway."

Scary? Even after all this time it’s still scary for Leo to take steps forward for their relationship. It’d be a lie to say he wasn’t hurt by Leo’s apprehension for meeting his boyfriend’s parents, but now definitely wasn’t the time to talk about it. Issei brings his drink back to his lips and finishes it up before he turns his attention to Haru now. “How’s the apartment hunting coming along? Have you managed to find a place yet?”

He moved on from that rather quickly. Leo eyed his boyfriend for a moment while taking a sip of his own drink. Something was going on whether Issei was going to admit it now or not. What was more obvious, though, was him avoiding it by drawing attention to Haru. Maybe later they could discuss it?

"Hm? Oh, yeah ... It's not great, honestly. But Izumi did say he could talk to his landlord about me moving in with him."

"Living together? How long have you two been together?"

"Since high school. So it's been a few years."

“Why not? We got together only a few months after those two.” Honestly, Issei thought that would be the next step for them anyway. Aside from moving in together which Issei wanted to trail by having Leo sleep over for a week or so. “I think my parents will love you if I introduced you to them.”

"Yeah but we're still just dating, aren't we? Maybe if we were moving in together or something then it'd make sense to meet them but, right now, it feels scary to even think about." No doubt Issei had amazing parents, though, if both boys were able to be so comfortable in their relationships.

“I’m assuming the evening was hard on Yamato, but they still have a few days there to sightsee so I’m sure Ibuki’s already planning something to cheer him up.” Issei takes his phone back from Haru and slides the device back into his pocket for now before sipping his own drink. “At least I’m positive things will go better when Yamato meets mine and Ibuki’s parents. They’re really open minded and accepted both of us right away.”

"Any idea when that's happening? The two of them being engaged makes it a necessity to meet the parents, I guess. I couldn't imagine doing something like that at this stage for us!"

The buzz on his phone catches his attention, after pulling out his phone Issei chuckled softly and hands the device to Haru to read herself. While she does, Issei turns to his boyfriend to fill him in. “Ibuki went to his boyfriend’s home town to meet his parents and apparently they were only there for about ten minutes before Ibuki went off at Yamato’s parents for being homophobic then they got kicked out.”

"Yamato-san did seem worried when they were talking about the visit." Haru read over the message before handing it back, going back to the snack she had been eating.

Leo sighed, placing his arm on to a raised palm. "Guess there are still people out there who don't accept it, huh? Must have been super awkward for them. They okay?"

                   "I mean, I guessed that at this point. Otherwise you would have broken up with me, right? It's fine, though. Dad's job is pretty high status still so I get he wants to keep the best appearance. A son in a homosexual relationship doesn’t exactly keep that up."
