Frosty the Snowman

When he thought of Kitty, Leo knew exactly what he wanted to get her. It would give him a small chuckle, but he knew it was a good idea. He packed the item in a larger box, making sure it was wrapped in pretty red paper before turning and putting together another box full of sweaters and a science kit placed perfectly on top. He left everything at her door, knocked, and then ran away with a small laugh.

Kitty,  Happy Holidays! I hope you enjoy the day and get everything your heart desires. I hope you like your gifts from me, and I shall only provide the receipt for the sweaters. The other two things are necessities. Hopefully with bubbles, you won’t start a fire. ;) Let me know when you wanna hit up a lab, Kitty. He had gotten her a fire extinguisher. Oh it was so ON! Kitty laughed as she opened the second gift, saw the bubble kit, and laughed harder. She made a mental note to blow these bubbles at basically everyone she knew. And these sweaters were pretty cute too!! Grabbing her phone off the table she sent Fitz a thank you text.

Drop in the Ocean || Fitzsimmons

The pressure was crushing her lungs, demanding for her to take a breath and inhale the frigid waters that could be her death. She continued to strike against the turbulent ocean, her arms and legs pushing her against an eternal current that was continuing to drag her downwards. She felt the weight of her best friend in her arms, the water blurring her vision so she could not determine whether he was still conscious or not, and it took her only a few moments to realize that he was the one forcing her down. However, she could not just abandon him, not when he had insisted she take the oxygen, not after he had told her that she was more than that, so she continued to attempt to propel them upwards despite the gravity of him overpowering her futile efforts...

Jemma awoke with a start, gasping in hopes of receiving the oxygen her lungs searingly ached for, and tried to ease the trembling of her hands. Nightmares had frequented her since that eventful night when they had both nearly died, but this one felt more realistic. Her skin was cold with the depths of the sea, and her teeth involuntarily chattered as she drew the comforter even closer around herself.

Before she was consciously aware of what she was doing, Jemma's feet led her through the hallways of the new compound to the looming shape of a door, and her knuckles knocked against the wooden board. "Um... Fitz? Are you in there?" The blanket remained curled around her, and her eyes tried to sift through the shadows of the darkness.
