meet limestone the hare, leonid's not-girlfriend! (genuinely. they make out but aren't dating LOL.) besides being a vagabond, she's a pretty normal member of post-apocalyptic society compared to leonid's 4/5ths immortal family that's been fighting against the leader of the eggman empire for two centuries. she's got a big broody attitude that leonid loves to tease her for - from lime's point of view, calling leo a "friend" would be debatable but the tension between them is so thick you could cut it with a knife <3

limestone and leonid don't actually have each other in their lives for very extended amounts of time at once; it's a few weeks or so, and then travels and their own goals send each of them elsewhere for a while. every time they run into each other again, though, they always pick up exactly where they left off. it never changes. spars and kisses and the refusal to actually address any of it. somehow there's always a sage base for leo to drag lime into to destroy it with her. lime never admits how much fun she has. they could go without seeing each other for years and run into each other by chance and it's exactly the same. lime ends up becoming close with leo's family, but never too close. a time comes in their adulthood where leonid wakes up in the remains of an abandoned building without limestone next to her where she was the night before and then never sees her again
