Sonic Convergence
So...
I've been quietly working on a massive Sonic AU for a while now.
It's called Sonic Convergence.
The basic idea is that instead of choosing one continuity, I asked myself:
"What if almost all of them happened?"
Games, IDW, Archie (Pre- and Post-Reboot), Underground, Fleetway, and a bunch of obscure lore all originally existed as separate universes.
Then a multiversal catastrophe forced them to become one.
The result is a single world where decades of Sonic history coexist instead of replacing each other.
It's basically my excuse to take every piece of Sonic lore I've ever loved and somehow make it fit into one timeline—especially the characters.
One of my biggest motivations was the Freedom Fighters.
I love Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Rotor, and Nicole. As well as tons of other Archie Sonic characters. (Well... I have personal beef with Rotor, but I'll save that for another post. 😭)
I don't see an easy way for them to return to the current canon with all of the history and development they had in Archie intact.
So...
I decided to do what Sega won't (or at least hasn't).
...Which means I now have lore documents, maps, governments, history, side AUs, and entirely too many notes.
No, I don't know how it got this far either. 😭
