Capcom should drop a patch for 9 to remove that fucking ring from the entire game. Its done nothing but cause issues in the fandom. Its something that is so unnecessary, ill thought out and divisive. I feel it would also kill Leon's appeal for lots of fans to pair him off with someone canonically. Big mistake Capcom, huge!

I hope we never ever see or hear from Capcom about this stupid ring of Leon’s ever again. It’s done so much damage to the fandom already. If we see the ring again in any capacity it’s going to make it worse and if they confirm who (if anyone) he’s married to then it just alienates huge portions of fans and batshit aeons will claim he’s cheating with her on anyone he’s paired with. It was a ridiculous pointless concept that they clearly didn’t think through properly or deliberately did just to troll. It overshadowed the experience of RE9 for me and many others, and I think if Capcom have any sense they will do some damage control and backtrack to bury it.

Agreed! The ring was a mistake and I hope they don't do anything to draw more attention to it.

My personal thought on Leon's ring is that Capcom just gave it to him so they could try to prevent people sexualizing his relationship with Grace by having him already be taken. It hasn't stopped them but I could imagine it would have been a lot worse if he hadn't had the ring.
