Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way en In Good Company Films ontwikkelen de utopische serie "Island", gebaseerd op Aldous Huxley's roman "Island". Huxley's laatste boek, gepubliceerd in 1962, volgt een cynische journalist die schipbreuk heeft geleden op het fictieve utopische eiland Pala in de Indische Oceaan. Island Oorspronkelijk belast met het gebruiken van Pala's natuurlijke hulpbronnen, ontdekt hij een onafhankelijk ontwikkelde samenleving.
