Roberts Nonprofit Organization Award Amount: $1,000 – $4,000 Deadline: March 9, 2018 About Scholarship In honor of Mr. Roberts, who was Chairman of the Dayton Performing Arts, FundCulture Works is offering “Leonard P. Roberts Scholarship”. Students who are planning to be a full-time student for the entire upcoming academic year can apply. The aim of the scholarship is to stimulate and encourage by providing this scholarship program. Provided By: Culture Works is a nonprofit regional arts agency that provides a unified voice for all the cultural organizations and activities in the Dayton Region and promotes the good news about the amazing cultural vibrancy of our region to a national audience. Eligibility: Candidates for the scholarship program must demonstrate that they: Plan to be a full-time student for the entire upcoming academic year Demonstrate participation in the arts Demonstrate financial need Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA Instructions for Applying: To apply, applicants must sign up by the given link: https://daytonfoundation.academicworks.com/users/sign_up Supporting Documents: The scholarship recipient’s school must provide: Name An email address for one additional recent letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, volunteer coordinator, guidance counselor, or faculty member in the department of the student’s field of study. A resume detailing your arts experiences/activities. To apply applicants must write an essay, your essay no more than two pages and describe the following in the essay: Your own artistic endeavors as well as activities in which you’ve been an audience member, a student, or participated in some other role. Then explain why the arts are important to you and to the quality of life in your community. Your essay should be typed, double-spaced Award Amount: The scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 – $4,000.
