first of all, this man was absolutely JOYOUS when you told him you were pregnant

I like to think he actually likes kids and is good with them but just never really saw himself as a father, so you giving him the news is what made him realize just how much he actually wanted it

He's someone who deeply values your independence and your personal strength, he knows you're strong and can handle yourself, he knows you don't need him to protect you..

No, that doesn't mean he'll let you get out of bed alone

Realizing the fact that there's a little you and him growing inside you has him in protective mode, he's scared of something happening to you and the baby, and it just gets worse the further along you are

You'd make playfull bets on who the baby will resemble the most, he'd be all talk about how the baby was totally going to look just like him, he's got strong genes! you know?

but really? He really wouldn't mind if your baby ended up looking just like you

I don't think he'd care much about the gender, he just wishes to have a healthy baby with you, and he's certain this won't your only child, so either gender he'll love your baby no matter what!

Though if he could choose, he'd like to have a boy, he's a king and a king need's a successor, but like a said, he'll be just as happy is you two end up having a little girl, he'd make sure to raise her to be a strong princess who doesn't take shit from anyone!

I also don't think he'd care about the physical changes that’s come with the pregnancy, he notices them, he just values your spirit way more than he values your appearance, all he wants is for you to be strong and healthy so you can have a strong and healthy baby

when the baby is born:

He hadn't felt true fear in a while until you finally went into labor, he was genuinely terrified thinking that he could lose you and your baby. so when he was finally able to see you, finally seeing you were alright, holding your son..

He couldn't keep the tears in any longer

Being vulnerable is hard for him, but even a man like him can't help but cry from the relief and happiness of seeing that his wife and son are okay

He'd be a bit hesitant to hold your son at first, he's proud of his great strength but for once he'd be scared of it, fearing he'd hurt your son if he wasn't careful
