My personal headcanon: Leopardstar wanted to be named Leopardstep. She got the personality down, but the wisdom wasn't quite there.

Where did Leopardstar get her ideas, anyway? Did she pick things up from a mentor who was like her? Is it like Darkstripe's situation, but instead of being born miserable, she was born a workaholic?
She was always overly serious and work-oriented, but I think the contrasting attitude in her community steered her into kicking her personality up to 11. Everyone telling her to relax and have fun just made her madder and more determined to be the best warrior ever (and then leader, once she got old enough to seriously consider that as her future).
Is there any rivalry between Leopardstar and Emberdawn? Does the latter feel snubbed for the deputy position, or is she just extremely diligent and doesn’t want to lead?
Emberdawn has the RiverClan curse of not giving nearly as much of a shit as Leopardstar does. Like, Emberdawn is content to be in charge of these new patrol things Leopardstar's insisting on. She doesn't ask for much besides being a good warrior. Leopardstar's the one who's been gunning for the leadership position since she was an apprentice.
So, Leoparddawn/star's mom and maternal uncle were both named -cloud... has her clan ever joked about that? I could see a RiverClanner half-jokingly inventing the concept of a changeling just to explain her existence, lol.
Oh, yes, many jokes have been made. Mostly behind her back. It's not worth her furious outrage after the first few times you say it.
Who were Leoparddawn’s parents?
Her mother was Brightcloud (Brightsky), and her father was some unknown outsider. Mudcloud in this iteration is her uncle, for the record.
