“i’m in love with you.” the words were spat out, bitter tone evidence of how much he wished they weren’t true. hands balled into fists as he anticipated their answer — knowing it wouldn’t be what he wanted to hear.

Music was a godsend. Really. Hollis wasn’t sure how he’d survive without it and while the same could be said about his writing or reading, life without sound-- he wasn’t sure if he could make it. Especially days like this. It was wet outside. Fuckin pouring and it had been all day but with music blaring from his bluetooth speaker and he was singing as he slapped paint on the walls. The designer he’d partnered with was supposed to drop by, but he figured she’d cancel, so he wasn’t really paying a lot of attention. Just plain white paint would do for now. Worst case, he could paint over them lickety split. He paused a moment, staring out the window at the rain. There was a crack of lightening and he nearly jumped outta his skin as the door to the place swung open.
“Jesus christ, gimme a fuckin heart attack, why don’t ya--”

The water dripped from his jacket onto the floor, he almost stormed up the stairs and cursed that the elevator wasn’t working again. Because the only thing he wanted was to finally escape this cold and get inside of his apartment. He had gotten into the middle of the storm after work, the motorcycle had turned out to be the wrong decision in this weather and now, Taylan had to live with the consequences. When he arrived at his door, he quickly fumbled for the keys, those from the motorcycle were quickly found, but not those for his apartment. It couldn't be true, not now. He leaned his forehead against the wood of the door and considered. Either he called the locksmith – which would be outrageously expensive at the weekend – or he kicked the door in – which, again, would be too expensive. Cursing, he looked around the hall, what could he do? Because at the moment he was most concerned with getting rid of the cold that crept through his clothes into his skin.
One thought was the one about a young woman who had been occupying his mind for weeks now. And Taylan would have been a damned liar to say he didn't want her. But was that really the situation in which he should tell her that? Completely soaked from the rain and just a walking mess. Not exactly how he had imagined it. Maybe he could have asked one of his friends, but for that he would have to go out again. Or maybe the neighbor next to his apartment, which was, however, much less attractive than the beauty from the apartment, which was one floor above his. They had also had a couple of conversations, mostly when they were doing the laundry, and how many times had Taylan wondered what her lips tasted like. Grumbling, he turned on the heel away from the door, the longer he stood here, the more unbearable it would become and he just hoped that she was home too—because if not, he would now not only have to get rid of the cold but also these many pictures inside his mind.
He sprinted up the stairs to the next floor, he had taken off his jacket and was standing a little unsure in front of her door. This plan was kinda stupid, he didn't even have anything for her. Reluctantly, he knocked once, waited a few seconds, and was thinking about disappearing until he knocked again. Because on the one hand Taylan longed for her and on the other hand, he did not know where to put his own feelings for her. Why did she have to exert this attraction on him, he moved a hand over his neck and just when the door opened, he started to speak: "Hey! Sorry. I know it's late, but I seem to have locked myself out and well, I somewhat need a shower because .. ” He looked down at himself helplessly and had to chuckle little.

“ the thoughts and demands of this world, don’t leave them in front of me. i’m not here for those. ” luca spoke dismissively. it was difficult to find something that luca hated more than something ( or someone ) being boring. his life was lived by finding pleasure and intrigue and the other was providing him with none of that. if they kept going any longer, luca’s patience would continue getting N A R R O W E R.
“i’ve got your back, you know that don’tcha?” reggie questions curiously, raising a brow. “so if y’need to talk...well, that’s not my speciality, really but. if you need me to -- take care of someone.” the way his pupils dilate is far from subtle. “i’m your man.” / @leowritings
meia was seriously struggling in her history of the gods class. yes, it was an introductory course but the girl had never been one to do well in history. her mother had taught her to focus on the now and forget about the rest. with this mindset engrained into the girl from a young age, meia naturally would forget things about the past that could not be changed. such things being history class. gods, meia wished that she could not forget this history. this wandering through her thoughts was a bad habit that meia had developed and it wasespecially bad when it came to her tutoring sessions. shit. “i’m sorry. wait, what?” she asked, looking over to her tutor with a sigh. “i suck at this.” / @leowritings & @leomusings
