So I watched the first episode of Saint Seiya Omega season 2. I'm hoping to see more saints introduced (proper saints, not steel saints, although it looks as though we are going to get several heaping helpings of them wether we want them or not) and most of all more new female saints!
The scene where Kiki and Raki look over the clothstone keeping wall thingy (that's its official name you know, possibly..) and discuss how many saints were killed, is I suppose opening the way for the introduction of new saints as this season progresses.
(the fates of many characters in the first season being left open ended. For instance, Pavlin could be brought back, the episode she was in left it ambiguous whether she died or survived. The writers can bring her back or leave her dead or whatever.)
Two other characters for whoem this is true are Lepus Arne and Crane Komachi (Yuna's Palestra friends who got put in the Big Student Cosmo-Sucking Tower thingy)...that's possibly its official name too. Cancer Schiller brought them back briefly as psuedo-zombies and if you will remember he said that they weren't actually dead, just in a death-like state (like a Cosmo Coma or something). I think this was on purpose so the way could be open to possibly bringing them back later.
I would really like to see Komachi and Arne back and having a bigger role in season 2. However this would surprise me as I think I am probably the only person alive on Earth today who cares about these two characters. More than likely the season 2 creative team have no interest in them and will forget all about them.
I really would like to see these two developed and fleshed out. There are too few female saints darnit! (and I really want to see what their full Cloths look like, we only got to see them in school uniform and with only the arm armour activated briefly..)
But like I say I'm probably the only person who is interested in them. It will be a pleasant surprise if they get brought back. (and more female saints too! would be nice)
