Tom hummed under the tree in the front yard, reading peacefully.
Well, it was supposed to be peacefully.
"BOO!!" Edd slid beside him, his hands latching onto his friends sides.
"ACK--! Whaha-?! Ehehedd?!" He let out surprised giggles, his book dropping to the grass.
Matt, who just stepped outside, gasped. "Oh my god!! Tickle fight!!" He jogged over, tripping and landing next to Tom, proding at his hip.
"Nohot aha--! Hohohold ohohon!! Ahahaha!" Tom shook his head, his body shaking - legs kicking.
"Torddd!!" Edd yelled, waving.
Tord was over by the plants by the front window of the house, watering them. His head perked up at the laughter and yell. He looked over, seeing Tom get absolutely wrecked.
Tord snorted, his thick accent complimenting his laugh. "Whahatcha doin?" He grinned, tilting his head.
"Ooh! Yeah, come help!!" Matt sat up, his fingers digging into the man's underarms.
"EEP-! Doho-- ahaha! DohoHOHON'T YOU DAHAhahare!! GahaHAHA!!"
Tord stifled in some giggles that threatened to spill, his shoulders shaking. He looked at the watering can and then the plants. He shrugged, taking off his gloves and tossing them to the side. He jogged over, sitting next to Tom's leg, squeezing behind his knee.
"Haha!! We got youu!!" Edd teased cheerfully, the two other lers laughing along.
"YOHOHOU JEHEHERKS-!! AHH, NOOHOHOHOHO!! GEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!" Tom covered his stomach, legs kicking and scrunching up.
"Aww..." Jon frowned, looking out the window - hands on the window sill.
"What's wrong?" Todd looked up from his bed, Roxie yawning and stretching on his lap.
"Look at them!" He gestured outside to his neighbors, who were still laughing and having a great time. "They're so cool together..."
"We're cool together too!" Todd set Roxie down beside him, the cat meowing in protest.
"Yeah, but--"
"But?"
"Look closely!" He huffed, taking Todd's sleeve, pulling him towards him.
Todd stood next to his friend, looking outside.
"Tickle tickle tickle!! Ohh, still ticklish *here* huh?" Tord grinned, his fingers scribbling fast on Tom's thigh.
"TOHOHORD!! *snort* GAHAHA!! DAHAHA!!! IHI-- BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Tom could hardly speak, his head throwing back.
"Haha! Ticklish Timmy!" Matt giggled, keeping his fingers buried in Tom's underarm.
"Ihit's Tom!" Edd laughed, Tord choking out a poorly stifled giggle.
"They know so much about each other..." Jon looked up at Todd, eyes glimmering with sadness.
"What are you two weirdos doing?" Mark's voice made the two jolt.
Mark was leaning on the doorframe, pushing himself off and approaching the two. "Stalking the neighbors again?"
"Kinda...? Jon's upset." Todd snorted, stepping aside, letting Mark look outside.
"It's because they're so close and know so much about one another!! Besides, have you ever seen Tom so happy?!"
Mark looked outside, observing the sight.
"I mean... no kidding." He scoffed. "They've known each other since First Grade. They're gonna be close."
"I think Jon's point is they show that they genuinely care about each other. Something..." Jon cut him off.
"Something we lack!! Somethin' Eduardo lacks... why can't we have a bonding moment?!" Jon raised a brow, crossing his arms.
Mark and Todd shared a look.
"I think he'd kill us if we'd even try, Jon." Todd chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
Jon sputtered. "B-But--... ugh! Marrrkkkk?" He clasped his hands together, making his eyes doe and sad.
"Wh-- no?! You can't--!" Mark's chest tightened, his annoyance rising.
"Ohhh?~ What's it gonna be, Mark?" Todd giggled, nudging him with his elbow.
"Wh-- gah!! Fine!! Fine! Okay!" Mark waved his hands in front of his face.
"Yay!!" He paused. "Uh-- can you do it?.. He scares me..." Jon chuckled nervously, picking up Roxie, who meowed and rubbed against Jon's chin.
"Fine, fine... c'mon."
He gestured for the two to follow him, walking out of the room.
Jon squealed in excitement, practically bouncing after Mark.
Todd took one look back outside, the four just cuddled up - looking drunk on giggles, still laughing at whatever. Todd shook his head, shoving his hands in his pockets, walking out of the room.
Eduardo was on the sofa, arms crossed, his frown deep.
"What's got you so bugged up?" Mark asked, leaning against the sofa.
"Them!!" He gestured to Edd's house. "Laughing like hyenas! What are they even doing?!" He groaned, running a hand down his face.
"Tickling one another?.." Jon sat next to him, Roxie jumping off his lap to Eduardo's, nuzzling her face into his stomach.
Eduardo sighed, stroking his cat's back. "Well, isn't that embarrassing."
"Yeah, well. Jon wants to add bonding to your precious time." Mark poked Eduardo's cheek, earning his hand being swatted away
"Bonding? We all get along just fine! Right, Todd?!"
Todd blinked, rubbing the back of his neck. "Um... you want me to lie, or?.."
"Forget it! My point still stands! We get along just fine." His voice rose, Roxie's ears flattening and jumping off his lap, trotting away.
"Not even Roxie agrees. Just admit it, Eduardo. We all gotta spend actual time with one another." Mark placed his hands on his hips, eyes locking onto his friend.
Eduardo hesitated this time, looking down at his lap.
He wasn't cold hearted. He loved his friends, truly. They just weren't as close as their neighbors. And if he HAD to be honest... he did wish they had what their neighbors had.
He eventually sighed, his shoulders relaxing. "Fine. What?"
Jon gasped, seeing stars. "REALLY?!" He threw himself at Eduardo, hugging him tightly out of pure joy.
"Ack--! W-Watch it, you'll break my bones!" He groaned, heat rising to his cheeks - half-heartedly pushing at Jon's shoulder.
Todd stifled a chuckle, covering his mouth, shoulders shaking.
Mark shook his head with a smirk, siting on the other side of his stubborn friend.
"Anyway... Jon wants to do whatever they were doing." Todd walked over, standing beside Mark.
Eduardo's blush somehow worsened. "Tickling?! No way!--" His voice cracked.
"Come on! You already said you would!" Jon frowned, letting go.
"But I--"
"I mean... you did." Todd shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pants pockets.
"I-- uagh! Fine.. wh-" Before he could even ask who, Mark lightly pushed him on his back - Jon (gently) grabbing Ed's wrists and firmly pinning them above his head.
"You. Duh." Mark rolled his eyes, his fingers immediately digging into his sides.
"MAHAHAHRK-!" The man squealed, tingles running up his body.
"No way! I never knew he was ticklish!" Jon's eyes brightened more, his grin huge with amazement.
"I mean... we know you are, Jon." Todd sat on the floor besides Eduardo, Mark snickering.
"Wh-- h-hey!! Tease him not me!" Despite the embarassment and the blush highlighting his cheeks, that smile stayed.
"DOHOHON'T TEHEHEASE MEHEHE-!" Eduardo protested between giggles, not really squirming.
"Eh? Why? Will it work?" Mark dug his fingers further.
"NOHOHOHO?!" He shook his head, his laugh loud and gruff.
"Uh huh.. sure. Ooh, Todd, try his knees."
"Eh? Why am I involved?" He raised a brow.
"Bonding time!!" Jon said cheerfully.
"I mean, yeah, bu--"
"Do it or I tickle the both of you." Mark vibrated his fingers against the lee's sides, laughter growing louder.
Todd's eyes widened, but he wiggled his fingers under Eduardo's knees. "Back to the topic at hand..." he adverted his gaze.
"TOHOHOHOHODD-! NOHOHOT YOU TOHOHOHOO!!"
"If I didn't, we'd both be dead." He huffed, adjusting his glasses.
"I HAHAHATE AHAHAHALL OF YOHOHOHOU!!" He laughed out, his leg arching.
"No, you don't." The three said in unison, grins on their faces.
"BEHEHE QUIHIHIHIET!" He snorted, smile bigger than ever.
"Does he not like the truth?" Todd asked with a tease.
"I think he's embarassed that he loves us~" Mark grinned.
"GUHUHUHUHUHUYS-!! C-COHOHOME OHOHOHON!!"
"Gihive him a breather!" Jon giggled, shivers being sent down his spine - just watching this made him giddy.
"Oh, fine!" Mark groaned, fluttering his fingers in his underarms.
"Ahahah-- thehe... the both of yohou ahahare brahahahats!" He snickered, eyes glossy.
"Brats?!" Todd scoffed, his fingers pressing against Ed's soles.
"SHIHIHIT-! IHI-- I WAHAHASN'T REHEHEHEADY, NOOHOHOHO!!" His feet kicked a bit, toes curling.
"Now THAT'S mean, Todd~"
"Mean?!"
"SOHOHOHO MEHEHEHEAN!!"
"Ihi am not mehean!" Todd lightly shoved Mark, the three boys laughing.
Jon loved this. They are all having fun together, genuinely. The house felt lighter and more cozy... it made Jon so flusteredly happy, the biggest, dorkiest grin on his laugh. He joined the giggles soon after.
"AHAHALRIHIHIGHT! QUIHIHIT IHIHIT!!"
"Fine, fine." Mark and Todd stopped, Jon letting go of his wrists.
Eduardo got up, chuckling lightly. "Yohou guys... are such jerks."
Jon just giggled happily, wrapping his arms around Eduardo in another hug. He didn't try to pull away this time.
Todd grunted as he sat between Ed and Mark. "Ehh, us too."
"Us too-?" Mark yelped as Todd pulled him into a hug, his other arm wrapping around Eduardo.
"Oh my god--" Mark's cheeks heated up, covering his face, the smallest smile twitching at his lips.
They all stayed like that for a minute. It was.. nice. This bonding time wasn't that bad of an idea.
Eduardo eventually sighed. "Once I gain my energy back, you three are so dead."
Their smiles dropped, eyes widening - body's froze. And they all locked eyes.
