1 / 2 - Lerdsila: The Most Evasive Muay Thai Champion Today...
Lerdsila, nick named the "Eel," "Mayweather of Muay Thai," is one of the most spectacular competitors today. Like many of his Jockey Gym campmates (Saenchai, Somrak, Silapathai), he is evasive and tricky.

Lerdsila Chumpairtour’s Lighting-Fast KO Is What Nightmares Are Made Of
Written by Kyle Symes
This past weekend was light on MMA action but that doesn’t mean fight fans couldn’t get their fight fix. Lion Fight Promotions held an event on Friday night which featured a candidate for Knockout of the Year.
Jacob Hebeisen had the unfortunate pleasure of making his kickboxing debut against Lerdsila Chumpairtour, a man with well over 200 professional bouts. As expected, Chumpairtour emerged victorious but did so in emphatic fashion.

The sound of that kick is frightening.
Lion Fight caught some flack online for matching up Hebeisen and Chumpairtour considering the..

K1 Rising 2012 Results
It sounds like there were quite a few good fights at this weekends K1 Rising event. I didn’t stream the fights so I’m still eagerly anticipating the vids. The fights are going to be aired on Spike, so I doubt videos will be surfacing anytime soon. As always if you find any please feel free to share.

Our friends at Total Muay Thai and Muay Thai Authority have done a very thorough write up of the event. I suggest you check out their sites. I was looking forward to seeing Chaz Mulkey vs. Kit Cope. It’s seems there was quite a bit of trash talking leading up to this fight. For those of you outside of the States, Kit is a former nak muay who transitioned to MMA. He’s quite the “personality”… I came across a video via stackmo’s fbook page. It’s an interview with Kit, I could only take a few minutes of it. I sort of stopped watching after he mentioned fighting in Canadia. You can watch it here, but I’m warning you it’s painful.
Anyway, Chaz took the win over Cope by a 2nd round TKO. It sounds like Cope attempted a spinning kick, and somehow managed to hurt his knee? Anyway, Chaz landed some well placed leg kicks and ended the fight.
Some other notable results from the evening:
Gabriel Varga was victorious over 3x Rajadamnern Stadium champion Lerdsila Chumpaitour, via unanimous decision.
Last minute replacement for Andy Howson, Shuichi Wentz, defeats Romie Adanza via KO head kick, 23 seconds into the first round.
Did any of you guys make it, what did you think?

K-1 Line up for Saturday
This weekend marks the introduction of K-1 to the U.S. The line up for the middleweights looks pretty good with a lot of familiar names from the American Nak Muay scene. Michael Manaquil will be taking on Scotty Leffler, Chaz Mulkey will be fighting against Kit Cope, whom I’ve not heard of this his MTV True Life: “I’m a Muay Thai fighter” and probably most excitedly; Romie Adanza is getting another shot at Andy Howson. The two fought a while back in a close fight so this bout should be an exciting match to watch. Lerdsilla will also be fighting Gabriel Varga, who hails from Victoria B.C.
The fights will be stream on spike.com starting at 8pm on Saturday.
