this just in, if you're a woman and a dear friend and close collegue dies, you can't mourn him because people might think you were in love with him, I guess? (I do ship Artorias/Ciaran, but the implication that they were a couple or even just that she was in love with him just for the fact that she was at his grave is kinda ridiculous)

That is also a good point. It is implied, but never stated that Ciaran loved Artorias. It could very well be that she mourned at his grave for a different reason than romantic love.
