“To Be Free” is literally the greatest piece of comedy ever please let me explain why.

So to start off with, Courfeyrac finds out Marius’ political beliefs and goes “oh you have GOT to meet my friends”  probably knowing FULL WELL something like this would happen. #live for the drama

So Marius arrives:

We start with Marius literally rising like a kraken from the depths at the sentence “18 June 1815 - Waterloo”

So he mentions hes Pro Napoleon and everyone in the room is just frozen “As if a cold wind had blown. All conversation ceased and a feeling of expectation filled the room” - So in essence “Oh fuk whos gonna tell him”. (Also E has a little dreamy “I love france so much i wanna date her” moment but thats irrelevant). 

Then comes his long speech.

And Enjolras just sits at the back with his head hung like “Oh no this is going to end badly.”

Anyways then you get COMBEFERRE THE SASS QUEEN JUST FUCKING DRAGGING THE EVERLOVING HELL OUT OF MARIUS WITH THREE WORDS, “TO BE FREE”.

This is in and of itself extremely entertaining but WAIT.

Combeferre drags Marius and gets up and leaves without another word AND EVERYONE DEADASS FOLLOWS HIM. LIKE THEY JUST UP AND LEAVE. JUST,,,, ALL OF THEM. THEY JUST LEAVE. AND START SINGING. LIKE WHY WAS THIS NECESSARY?????????????

And Enjolras is left there with Marius and just sorta... slowly pats Marius on the shoulder like “u tried buddy” before dropping his “my mother is the republic” line AND THEN HE FUKIN LEAVES TOO. 

AND MARIUS NEVER GOES TO THE MUSAIN AGAIN.

Basically this scene is the most beautifully extra and dramatic scene honestly it makes me so happy and I need people to understand the sheer comedic value of this,,,

Deaf Cosette Valvert Modern AU

Imagine this, Cosette is deaf, Fantine knew sign language so everything was fine until she got sick and was hospitalized. Valjean would visit Fantine while she was in the hospital because of some sort of obligation (maybe as mayor he’s inspecting the hospital and talking with patients about their care, or he’s a social worker, or he’s fantines brother?) anyway Fantine taught Valjean some sign language but he never really got the hang of it. While Fantine is in the hospital cosette is with the Thenadiers who don’t respect cosette’s deafness and are terrible to her for it. When Fantine is dying she tells entrusts Cosette to Valjean and he retrieves her from the Thenadiers but Cosette has a hard time trusting people who don’t understand or can’t do sign language and is wary of Valjean. Then sometime when Valjean is out on a walk or something with cosette he loses her and freaks out. Cosette is crying somewhere and Javert finds her while on patrol, fortunately he understands sign language (maybe he had to learn it during police training or maybe his mom was deaf, or became deaf, anyway he can do sign language) and he helps her find valjean. When Javert reunites Cosette with Valjean he recognizes him and is like wtf you’re a convict why do you have a child and thinks valjean’s a bad parent for losing cosette in the first place, but sees that Valjean cares about cosette. After awhile Valjean starts calling Javert about coming around to teach him more sign language or just to be with Cosette because she really liked Javert and could actually sign with someone for once. At first Javert’s like this is stupid, but eventually comes to love Cosette and Valjean and they become a happy family. Also, maybe the les amis are also all disable children that cosette gets to know through some sort of class or daycare?

Nikki sobbed through On My Own and Little Fall of Rain her and Matt were both crying a lot and she got a solo bow and she was crying so much and I cried so much I'll post an actual review thing later I just need everyone to know how emotional it was

You’ve probably read it, but “With Faith Unfearful" is my favorite fic ever.

DFAB ENJOLRAS MY LOVE THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL FIC
