i'm Rachel (she/her), I'm studying in chicago but i'm from a tiny little town in the middle of the country! I love where I am and I love my school but sometimes I miss the sky. I love sweaters with shorts and sunshine and cats and reading good books on rainy days.
It was the middle of class, and Rachel’s mind slowly drifted away from the lecture. She gazed longingly out the window, missing the little town she called home. The Chicago sky was dim, in many places blocked out by buildings, and at night the light pollution hid the stars. She closed her eyes and though of the sky she missed, the sky that blazed bright blue in the sunlight, rolled in with heavy gray clouds when it rained, and at night shone with a thousand brilliant stars that studded its expanse like diamonds on a Prussian blue dress.

but like, to keep it real, i actually hate padme lives aus??? GASP, UR A BAD FEMINIST no, i just don’t see how it empowers padme to force her to live a shitty tragic life on the run from her own husband rather than just letting her die and rest in peace like…………there comes a point where killing a character is kinder than letting them live (see: if obi wan had just killed anakin on mustafar) and imo padme would have suffered so, so much more if she’d had to live for years in a world where she and her children are constantly in danger, her husband is a murderer who represents everything she spent her life fighting against, and the democracy she devoted her life to has been replaced by a fascist regime. like yeah it sucks that she died but the alternative would’ve been so much more painful for her and for luke & leia (who would’ve been deprived of relatively stable childhoods in a safe home) and also more painful for me just let her rest she’s suffered enough!!!!!

yes, i did come to the realisation that none of these are particularly positive which is not entirely accurate of how this year went (aka: better!!) but i could be here forever if i wanted to chronicle ALL my emotions in quotes so we’re going to leave it
one thing you learnt this year ? sometimes people are better off left as fond memories and there’s nothing wrong with who you’ve become simply because the old rhythm is no longer there. WHY am i being melodramatic on main, so on a more lighthearted note - learnt the basics of fencing !
