yeahhh .. again im admittedly still kinda new at this and have only been slowly learning more about it over the course of the last year or so but as i was doing some reading it was like explaining how some (lenin i think it was) supported communism with a totalitarian reign and i mean... totalitarianism is.. not good as far as i can see.. i still like the idea of a democracy or a representative democracy but im not sure if thats bc thats what ive been taught is ideal or bc i dont know of other workable forms

the great leap forward was people starving to death not like gulags or anything and mao and his party later self-criticized for a lot of the things during it and even then communist china had WAY less periods of starvation than pre-communist china :/
i remember learning about tglf in 7th grade world history but obviously i didnt get too much in depth info on it regarding maos party discussing it, so this is another thing i need to read up on/ get factchecks for
like again i dont want to fully support these govts themselves just bc they also have a lot of injustice going on but some of it illustrates how communism as a system can help
