Immiscible - Caitlyn x Vi Oneshot
Deep blue eyes looking away, past all The Undercity buildings from a distance, searching for a specific red haired, headstrong woman. This is the same woman that hasn’t left her mind since she met her.
Deep inside, Caitlyn knew she had to find Vi and tell her how she felt every time both locked eyes with each other; how she desperately wanted to kiss the scar on her upper lip and make her realize the love she had wasn’t gonna hurt as it did that old cut she received a long time ago. How she fantasized caressing feather lightly across her cheeks and feel her soft but hardened skin.
Vi had her magnetized, she wanted to be close to her all the time and feel her presence. Contrary to what Vi said “oil and water”, Caitlyn knew they weren’t as immiscible as Vi thought they were, she didn’t want that to be true.
As soon as that last thought went through Caitlyn’s mind she saw her, her heart stopped for a slight second and butterflies started to fly inside her belly. “I never thought this would happen to me.” Caitlyn said to herself because she never really believed in love stories or really never cared for them; because instead of dreaming about a “knight in shinning armor” when she was a little girl, she was instead practicing with guns and dreaming of changing the world.
She jumped down from the bridge she was standing on, with care of not twisting an ankle in the process; she wanted to get safely to Vi to talk to her, not to arrive broken to a hospital. She followed Vi from a bit far thinking she wasn’t silent enough, since obviously her high heel boots were going to give her away as soon as she wasn’t careful. Suddenly she saw Vi disappear at the corner of a street and for a moment she felt disappointed.
“Why are you following me?” A raspy but delicate voice made her jump a little, Caitlyn turned to see Vi which had a concerned look on her eyes.
“I wanted to see you.” Caitlyn said not even thinking and Vi was surprised at her response but didn’t want it to show on her face.
Vi had been feeling down since the last time she talked to Caitlyn because deep inside her heart she believed she wasn’t going to see her ever again. She felt she didn’t deserve someone so amazing close to her, so attentive and humble, so beautiful and delicate, so perfect... so sweet. Vi felt that she wasn’t enough for Caitlyn and unconsciously pushed her away. Vi was silent so Caitlyn wanted to break the uncomfortable atmosphere that had been created around both of them.
“I know it may sound crazy to you, but I NEEDED to see you, to say something to you, that maybe you may not believe...” Caitlyn started to drift off and Vi noticed right away.
“Get to the point, cupcake.” Vi said with a smirk trying not to laugh at Caitlyn’s cute innocent face at that moment, she wanted to hold her in her arms.
Caitlyn just reacted and did what Vi said, to “get to the point”. She shortened the distance between the two and pushed her on the wall this time, letting all her weight be the keeper of Vi’s freedom. Vi’s breath hitched and her narrowed eyes went directly to Caitlyn’s lips and then to her eyes, instinctively holding Caitlyn’s hips with both hands waiting for her next move. Caitlyn then took Vi’s chin with one hand, her thin fingers softly pressing it down a bit to part open her lips to which Vi didn’t object and just closed her eyes completely. Caitlyn went for it, her lips landed on those of the red haired and both let go a deep sigh escape through their noses. Vi pulled Caitlyn closer to her body and couldn’t stop her tongue from exploring her sweet lady’s mouth. As soon as Caitlyn felt Vi’s tongue touch hers she couldn’t stop a small moan from escaping her throat, which made Vi feel like the happiest woman in the planet.
Both were waiting for this to happen since the day they met and they noticed as soon as their lips connected. After a minute they slowly separated from the kiss and locked eyes but didn’t loose the grip, not for the slightest.
“You were right, it is crazy and I cannot believe it...” Vi softly muttered when Caitlyn rested her forehead on top of hers. “But I am the luckiest woman in the entire universe.” Vi completed making Caitlyn blush and smile softly, closing her eyes again, this time just enjoying Vi’s arms holding her.
“I love you...” Caitlyn finally said and she felt like a weight lifted from her shoulders.
“And I love you more” Vi said playfully and kissed Caitlyn to stop her from replying and automatically making herself the winner one in this “love contest” moment.
The End.
