Alas, Mina couldn’t possibly know what he meant by what he had said, and so she took it out of context. But Vlad would go along with it anyway.
“You are not wrong.” He bowed his head slightly, looking down at his hands while playing with his ring. “But I can assure you that he has not shown himself in quite a long time.”

Her hand shifted up into his hair, lips turned up in what was beginning to feel like a permanent smile. His voice made rumbles against the skin of her belly, which had really begun to blossom recently. A surefire sign that soon enough there would be a baby with them in the castle.
A soft little laugh as she listened, glancing down to him. “You know, it’s just occurred to me that this may not be an entirely appropriate choice of first book for them.”
In all honesty, Adam had chosen whichever book had been closest to them, with little care for the title. It wasn’t as though there were piles scattered throughout the castle. It had been an impulsive moment of desire, a need to say something to their child, his own words feeling insufficient.
He smiled in turn, glancing up from the pages at her. “And what would make it an inappropriate first choice? What was your first book?”
Top 5 (or 10 if you can) Dracula works?
Okay, I’m assuming this means if we exclude the book:
1.) Dracula Untold - I have no complaints about this movie because even when it does stuff that would normally drive me nuts, it works. And I like alternate history stories. They did it in a unique and fun and emotional way.2.) The Horror of Dracula - Not a direct retelling of the novel. It makes a few quite interesting changes to the source material and Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee were just delightful as Van Helsing and Dracula.3.) Dracula - The original Bela Lugosi film. Granted it’s something of an acquired taste these days being so old but I just adore it. Bela was a legend.4.) Dracula: Dead and Loving It - I don’t care what anybody says. This movie is funny as hell. Especially the Jonathan staking Lucy scene. Holy shit. I nearly bust a gut laughing every single time on that scene alone. The scene where Dracula is trying to mind control the stewardess at the theater and failing miserably is also great.5.) Vampire Hunter D - While it doesn’t necessarily focus on Dracula, he is still a figure in the world and the father of the main character. The books are great and ONE of the movies is fantastic. I do recommend them but they do deal with some heavy subjects as well and aren’t for the faint of heart.6.) Anno Dracula - While Dracula himself is mostly a side character that shows up for a few pages at a time, it’s still an entertaining series of books that take place in an alternate timeline where Dracula won, which is not a subject that is really explored.7.) Hellsing - The manga and anime are so good, Ultimate especially for the anime adaptations. The characters are a delight and I ADORE Dracula being a villain protagonist. It’s one of my favorite ways for him to be shown.8.) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein - Abbott and Costello are a legendary comedy duo and this movie mashes up a few monsters, including our Prince of Darkness, in a fun way.9.) Castlevania - One of my all-time favorite video game series. Dracula, while getting his ass kicked by the Belmont Clan consistently, is an entertaining villain with a sympathetic backstory. While he has it though, you still delight in kicking his ass which I feel is important when making a villain have such a past. The Lords of Shadow games were fun excluding Lords of Shadow 2 which is disappointing because it should have been good. We were finally playing Dracula and he had an amazing design but eh, whatcha’ gonna do?10.) Van Helsing - Yes, Dracula is incredibly over the top and maybe needs to take a few dozen chill pills but fuuucckkkk, this movie is so fun. You cannot help but love it even when you get older and realize it is so damn cheesy.

--- “Oh, excuse me miss, I didn’t see you the- ... Belle!” Gaston looked on with surprise in his gaze as he noticed the woman he had his heart set on was the one he bumped into accidentally. “It’s lovely to see you. Truly, I do apologize for not paying attention to where I was walking. Fancy meeting you here in the park on this fine day.”

“What?”
Her tongue clicked, but Sharna didn’t look up from her reading material. Nothing interesting to most, simply magazines that dealt with the occult. They were laughably inaccurate, but they were a good source or finding potential cases.
But the presence of someone hanging over her shoulder was distracting, and the vampiress set her highlighter own, instead reaching for the mug beside her. caramel macchiato, a favourite of hers.
“Did I take your favourite seat or something?” Shar asked, bringing the mug to her lips. “Sorry pal but I don’t see your name anyway on it.”
about belle
i know that some ppl went after @lesdenouements bc of her fc choice for belle bc "she's too old"
belle means "beautiful" (beauty is just a translation so that it sounds good in the song but it's wrong anyways not the subject here). she's the most beautiful girl in the village, gaston said he's never seen more beautiful than her, that he looked at her and just fell. her looks has got no parallel. You can't come and tell me that emmy rossum isn't a beauty. she's really beautiful. like insanely beautiful.
dan stevens is 34, which means that he's 7yrs older than emma watson. if you keep his age up like that for adam but keep belle at 18, you have a gap that can play in power balance, which wouldn't hurt to age her up a little.
it's set in renaissance era. at that time, ppl age up faster than nowadays bc of difficulty of life. (michel angelo looked like he was 100 on his self-portrait at 60yo). so even if belle WAS 18, she would still look older than her actual age bc of the times.
i know it's not my battle but they deserve better than this mistreatment bc they don't use emma as a fc.
I want adventure in the great wide somewhere
I want it more than I can tell
And for once it might be grand
To have someone understand
I want so much more than they’ve got planned.
