These white Edwardian-style boots were created for Julie Andrews in the 1964 classic film 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑷𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒔. But did you know that the shoes went on to be used again? It’s true! The pink/red of the tips and heels of the shoes were whitewashed for the 1968 film 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒚, 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒆, 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒅, where Leslie Ann Warren wore them as Alice Bower! Rick Lorentz of the @waltdisneyarchives wrote that, thankfully, one of the archive staff members managed to spot the boots and determined that they had originated with 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑷𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒔, helping them to be reunited with the white “Jolly Holiday” gown!
