Les Mis Big Bang: Quarantine Edition
Are you going crazy with boredom during this international quarantine? Do you miss the days when we were all drowning in brand-new Les Mis content? Have you ever wanted a chance to collaborate with other content creators?
If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, then welcome to the Les Mis Big Bang: Quarantine Edition!
The Big Bang is a fandom-wide content creation event which results in a huge collection of new fanworks, including fic, visual art, cosplay, and music. It is intended to bring together one of the most diverse and dedicated fandoms in the world during a time of isolation and fear, and to remind us:
“Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.”
This will be very similar to past Big Bangs in the fandom (the last of which was, as far as we know, in 2016), but with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion of all fans - we’re specifically encouraging creators of all sorts, not just writers and traditional visual artists, to sign up. We also have an option for people who can’t/don’t want to collaborate to participate as Solo Creators. If you don’t want to commit to a full project, but still want to contribute, anything you post to the hashtags #quarantinebigbang and #lesmisbigbang2020 will be shared on our blog regardless of whether you signed up with us.
Sign ups close March 27th at 11:59 PST, and works will be posted on May 5th.

A piece i did for @thelesmisbigbang ! This project has been so fun to work on and I am pretty proud of myself for finishing this.
The King of Spades. Spades are a suit associated with winter and old age. They are a hands-on and down to earth. They represent death.
The King of Diamonds. Diamonds are a strong suit, focused on career and improvement. They are driven, and symbolize worth.
The King of Clubs. Clubs are an educated suit, focused on learning and knowledge. They have an air of intellect about them. They represent the mind.
The King of Hearts. Hearts are exactly what they sound like- caring, family based, and thrive on interaction. They make any group of friends feel like a family. They represent love.
