     Shinobu has made it a top ninja-mission priority to seek out some comfort food. Today that came in the form of a crepe bigger than his head, topped with whip cream, strawberries, bananas and chocolate galore -- just looking at it was euphoric!

     Too bad he almost drops it a few feet out the door, having looked up to see a familiar, bat-winged face suddenly inches from his own.

     “HYAAA---!? I--I-I-I mean....!? Hwaaah?!?!?” Great.

ANOTHER FRIVOLOUS APPROACH, but he wasn’t unused to such anymore. The heaviness of dark resonated with him, as did the outstanding power of her presence. In appearance, she reminded of another he crossed paths with moons and moons ago.

                     “A DEMON FROM HELL I PRESUME?”

He knew the answer, but wished to hear it from her.

Although they’ve been on winter duty and haven’t hibernated in winter for about a hundred and two years, Cairngorm finds themself very... drowsy, for some reason. Probably because Phos ruined his sleep last summer.

...Wait, did they miss an entire season...?

Before they continue on that train of thought, their drowsiness made them fail to notice another person before them. They just nearly bumped into them, but managed to step back in time; Cairngorm looks up at them, startled.

“Uh, Sorry.”
