I had a hard time figuring out how Eric’s trunk would hold this knife to butter a croissant. The second picture is the actual ink drawing as It exists in my sketchbook. It just didnt feel right. In 2 dimensions its easy to forget that you’re supposed to be drawing 3-d things and since his trunk is curvy its sometimes hard to tell which direction its pointing in space. You can see in the video how many options I tried to fix the problem digitally before arriving at the first picture.
