Daniel reluctantly learned some ballroom dances so he could make Armand,and Marius happy by being able to dance with them at Court events.
That was one thing.
But in hindsight he should have known Louis would take this precedent,and 1 dumb joke about "enjoying riding other things *wink wink nudge nudge*" and run with it.
Really agreeing to hang out at the stables with Louis for book club instead of in either of their rooms should've been a giant neon Broadway sign sized warning.
Unfortunately Daniel is a dumbass (affectionate) who makes bad life choices,and has no survival instincts. I mean it's not the first time he went to a secondary location with Louis against all red flags imaginable. What's one more for old time's sake?

Yes,Louis did procur a helmet and back protector for Daniel (much to Lestat's amusement). Are these necessary? Obviously not really but kidnapping is one thing, but being a a negligent teacher is unacceptable.
Anyways, Louis, is terribly pleased,and in his element. And Daniel can't deny that that isn't annoyingly endearing. Or that he's now playing along because this whole ordeal really seems to make Louis happy. Okay, fuck it, fine, he'll sit on that horse and let Louis play instructor, if it keeps Louis smiling like that for a while.
Pray for Daniel.
