Impressions of IWTV characters as perfumes.
Abel: Coat check — Armand
Carries himself well: elegant opaque bottle / minimalist inclinations.
Has all the enticing ingredients yet overwhelms with sweetness because apparently that’s not (doesn’t think himself?) enough. Somewhat dusty, which can come off as boring, but is doing a respectable job with it. Intoxicating at the heart, but only the cloyingness clings as all the respectable notes dissolve.
Liquides Imaginaires: Blanche Bête — LDPDL
Charming appeal and undeniable prettiness, leaning unbearably basic. Whitewashes his whole identity to appear more so, yet the nasty and petty unfurl, like a cheap baby wipe accord.
Melanie Martinez: Cry Baby — LDL
A rebellious child playing femme fatale with his mother’s makeup gets to live out the fantasy, if only at the cost of copious amounts of trauma. Viciously explosive fruitiness under a well-powdered facade. Bratty staying power.
D.S. & Durga: I don’t know what — Danny boy
Your Claudia and Lestat but “better:” Overly eager and insufferable. Fascinating to some, depending on personal chemistry and gradation of insanity. Is meant to trigger something.
