I loved the part in Teknolust where the men are quarantined for their STD and the scientists are like “ONLY men are getting sick! This is a top priority until we find out how to treat them!” and Rosetta just nods like “ 🙃 “
I love that subtle dig. Like, if a handful of women were suffering a bizarre illness (probably affecting their sexual performance, probably sexually transmitted by someone who WASN’T their husband), they wouldn’t be prioritized to that degree. But since it was the MEN in danger, of course they had to pull out all the stops and devote all their time and resources to fixing it.
Excellent commentary, 10/10, would watch again
#i get that a pandemic making all men infertile would be a bad thing; don't get me wrong#my jape is more targetted at the fact that there were only like 10 or 15 men affected and they already went into priority mode#and my point still stands that a handful of women suffering the same problem probably wouldn't get the attention it deserves#let alone full priority#teknolust 2002#teknolust
