Oh yeah I had a dream with kirby characters. Every1 was sort of plushie like tho? Anyway I was dark meta knight n there was also other random knight. At some point the random knight n meta knight were supposed to fake fight as a distraction (I forgot what we were doing) but then I started trying 2 fight meta knight n every1 just went "well ok. Change of plans"

So I Have a New Long-Term Goal

And it's slowly starting to begin from here, and that's exciting.

It struck me yesterday that it would be the coolest thing to eventually have possession of a B.S., a Master's degree, a Ph.D., and an M.D.

The idea:

B.S. Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (Obtained 2012)

Master's in Business Management (starting now through online classes over the next 5-7 years (I'm hoping))

By extension, I would need an A.A. & B.A. before I could get a Master's, so this route would take care of those two degrees.

Ph.D./M.D. Combined in a Medical Scientist program if I can ever get in (assuming I fucking study for the MCAT/GRE more).

I used to hate the idea of being a 'Life-Long Learner,' like some of the elder people that would take classes alongside me, but why not be a Life-Long Learner if you plan on using everything to strengthen your position?

This shit's gonna be exciting.

Great Pop Songs That Didn’t Get The Attention They Deserved, Pt 2

'Let Me Back' by Zarif. Unlike the last entry in this series, this really is a song that hardly anyone seemed to care a fig for. I only saw it because I turned Channel Four on very early one morning four years ago.

What a song though! Dead catchy, slightly gawky, silly AND reminiscent of those first few Neneh Cherry singles. What more could the charts in 2008 have asked for? Oh, right.

I don't know what happened to Zarif post-first album: Googling her brings up those most depressing indicators on an artiste's career: a broken website link and a Twitter feed last updated nearly a year ago. Pauvre Zarif.

It's probably fair to say that early 2008 probably wasn't the best time to be launching one's breezy, summery pop single, just as the vogue turned away from breezy, summery Lily Allen-alikes to maudlin torchsongs from Adele and co. Also, perhaps Zarif was that iota too quirky and independent-minded (her broken website deprives me of the chance to link to her charming self-drawn cartoon strip blog and other entertaining things).

So, Zarif: whatever you are up to, come BACK to us. And give Lenka a shout while you're at it.
